About this hotel
General information
The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach occupies a group of buildings on the beach in South Beach’s storied Art Deco District, steps from pedestrian Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive. It opened in 1953 as the DiLido, designed in a postmodern spirit by the celebrated architect Morris Lapidus.
More than six decades on, the building keeps its 1950s glamour, now paired with contemporary service and interiors hung with Latin American and European works from Diane Lowenstein’s private collection. Guests have rooms with balconies or poolside patios, a pool and beach with personal service, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, and a restaurant and two bars run by José Andrés Group, while 18 function rooms total about 3,410 m², including the 950 m² Ritz-Carlton Ballroom; weddings are arranged.
Location
The hotel stands on the beach in South Beach’s Art Deco District, close to Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive. Miami International Airport is 19 km away and Fort Lauderdale International Airport 45 km.
Spa
The Ritz-Carlton Spa, South Beach has 11 treatment rooms, a steam room and sauna, a co-ed relaxation lounge and separate women’s and men’s lounges, a salon for hair, manicures and pedicures, including Dazzle Dry, and a boutique of self-care products. Signature treatments include the Awakening Bamboo Massage, the Resilience Facial, a hot-stone massage and the Sole Reviver foot ritual.
Sports & leisure
A heated outdoor pool with a whirlpool is ringed by loungers and cabanas, and the beach comes with personal service. The fitness centre is open 24 hours and has Peloton bikes; yoga and strength classes are held on the beach every day. The hotel also arranges its own experiences: the Deco Spirits cocktail class, a sound-bath meditation, bespoke perfume making, a Little Havana food tour, an Art Deco walking tour and an airboat wildlife tour in the Everglades.
For children
Ritz Kids welcomes children aged 5–11 with supervised play, crafts, beach time and Mini Master Chefs cooking classes, and there are separate workshops for teenagers.

Every venue in the hotel is run by José Andrés Group.
