The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour, Miami

About this hotel

General information

The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour, Miami is an intimate coastal resort at the northern tip of Miami Beach, on a rare site where the Atlantic meets the Intracoastal Waterway, a short stroll from the fashion boutiques of Bal Harbour. It previously traded as ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa and keeps a private, almost residential feel, with just two rooms on each floor.

Rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and terraces face the ocean. Dining brings together three concepts led by a chef-driven signature restaurant, alongside a private Members Club, and The Ritz-Carlton Spa pairs treatments with wellness and fitness programmes. Guests settle into cabanas by the pool or on the semi-private beach, children have Ritz Kids, and art lovers receive the Unscripted Bal Harbour pass to Miami’s leading museums and private collections. Weddings and meetings are arranged, and dogs are warmly welcomed.

Location

The hotel stands on the beach beside the Bal Harbour shops, at the northern end of Miami Beach. South Beach is about 15 minutes by car, Miami International Airport 27 km and Fort Lauderdale International Airport 24 km away.

Spa

The Ritz-Carlton Spa pairs restorative treatments with an expanded programme of wellness and fitness, including daily wellness classes.

Sports & leisure

An outdoor pool with a whirlpool is lined with cabanas and loungers served with food and drinks. There is a fitness centre, daily wellness classes, beach games and live music, bicycle hire and a jogging station with route maps. The hotel arranges personal shopping with a stylist through Couture Concierge at Bal Harbour Shops and other Miami districts, sessions with a professional photographer and trips to the Everglades, while the Unscripted Bal Harbour pass gives free entry to museums, art tours and private collections.

For children

Ritz Kids runs guided activities and beachfront games for children.

Restaurants & bars

Dining brings together three concepts, headed by a chef-led signature restaurant, alongside a private Members Club. Food and drinks are served straight to cabanas and loungers by the pool and on the beach, and in-room dining is available.

Swimming

The hotel has a semi-private beach, where daybeds and serviced cabanas can be reserved.

Pets

Dogs and cats are welcome: up to two per room, each weighing up to 16 kg. Dogs are given bowls, waste bags and home-made treats, the concierge can connect owners with local groomers and vets, and a dog park next to the hotel has winding paths, lawns, palms and ocean views.
