General information
The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort opened in February 2012 on Saadiyat, a 27 km² man-made island linked to Abu Dhabi by bridges. The island has become a new hub for tourism, culture and business in the Emirates: nine kilometres of beaches with soft, pearly sand, a cultural district home to Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Guggenheim and the Zayed National Museum, and an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Gary Player.
The resort itself is built in an elegant Mediterranean style. Guests stay in rooms, residences and villas and have a spa, tennis and squash courts, restaurants and bars at hand. A conference centre and an ocean-view terrace host events, and weddings are arranged here too. Butler and concierge service, shops, laundry and dry cleaning, car hire and parking are all available.
Location
The resort stands on Saadiyat Island, 15 minutes’ drive from central Abu Dhabi, 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and 90 minutes from Dubai’s airport.
Spa
The spa offers a sauna, steam room, whirlpool and several treatment rooms, among them spacious spa suites with their own terraces and pools. Therapists draw on traditional and innovative techniques from around the world for face and body care.
Sports & leisure
There are several outdoor pools, including an adults-only pool, and an indoor pool. The modern gym runs yoga and other studio classes, and there is a tennis court and a squash court. Gary Player’s 18-hole course lies right alongside.
For children
Children have a play area and a club with games consoles, a “cave”, a children’s pool and plenty of activities.

Swimming
The resort faces a wide sandy beach.
Rooms
Rooms are contemporary with Arabic touches and finished in natural materials. Balconies look over the white ribbon of beach and the Gulf, or across the golf course.
