Opened in 2018, Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island stretches along a broad private beach of white sand on Saadiyat Island. Its architecture and interiors marry the grandeur of an Arabian palace with an easy Mediterranean style, and the mood is lively: several pools, a long roster of restaurants and bars, a full sports programme, evening shows and a disco.
The resort works equally well for families and couples. There is a kids’ club, weddings and honeymoon programmes are arranged in-house, and several event spaces — including a ballroom, a business centre and outdoor venues — host corporate and private occasions. Shops, a concierge, laundry, car hire and parking are also available.
Location
The hotel sits on the beach on Saadiyat Island, 5 minutes’ drive from the island’s cultural district, 8 minutes from Louvre Abu Dhabi and 20 minutes from the city centre and theme parks. Abu Dhabi International Airport is 36 km away, roughly 25 minutes by car.
Spa
The Ottoman-inspired Anjana spa has a hammam, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, snow room, beauty salon, a relaxation lounge with a vitamin bar, and treatment rooms offering rituals rooted in both Eastern and Western traditions.
Sports & leisure
Large heated outdoor pools include a wave pool. The gym has modern equipment and personal trainers, and there are floodlit tennis courts, a water sports centre, beach volleyball and yoga. Days bring sports activities and excursions, evenings shows and a disco. Tennis and water sports equipment can be hired.
For children
A kids’ club looks after and entertains younger guests, and babysitting can be arranged on request.
