Jumeirah Mina Al Salam Dubai - Madinat Jumeirah

About this hotel

General information

Mina A’Salam — Arabic for “harbour of peace” — is a palatial building on the Arabian Gulf, set among gardens and waterways and opening onto a picturesque promenade. It forms part of Madinat Jumeirah, a resort built in the manner of an Arabian citadel. Interiors are in warm tones, with graceful alcoves, antique furniture, carpets and work by Arab craftsmen, and balconies look out across the Gulf.

Guests can explore more than 50 restaurants, cafés and bars across the resort, Souk Madinat Jumeirah with 75 shops and a traditional bazaar, a 442-seat theatre, water taxis, a limousine service and car hire. A conference centre, the Joharah and Murjaan ballrooms and the Madinat Arena amphitheatre make it equally suited to business travel, and weddings and honeymoon programmes can be arranged.

Location

The hotel lies in the Jumeirah Beach area, 5 minutes’ drive from Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City and 25 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

Spa

Talise Spa, tucked away in the resort gardens, has a sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, hydro-massage showers, a hydro-relaxation zone, relaxation rooms, a gym, a yoga studio, a spa restaurant, a beauty salon and nail rooms. Its 26 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms blend Western and Eastern techniques with natural products.

Sports & leisure

There is a large outdoor pool with sun terraces and the Quay Healthclub, with two indoor pools (one 25 metres), a gym, sauna, steam room, aerobics studio, two squash courts and a restaurant. The beach water sports centre offers windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing and motor yacht hire and banana rides, with equipment to rent. Golf outings can be arranged, and the Wild Wadi water park is close by.

For children

Children have their own pool, a playground and Sinbad’s Kids Club for ages 1–12; restaurants offer children’s menus, and babysitting is available on request.

Of Madinat Jumeirah’s more than 50 venues, some are within the hotel and the rest in the souk.
