General information
Mandarin Oriental Jumeira opened in March 2019 above a private beach in Jumeira, a few minutes’ drive from central Dubai. Designer rooms look over the Gulf, the city and Burj Khalifa, and the brand’s understated Asian style comes with pools set in landscaped gardens and a spa of more than 2,000 m².
Dining is the hotel’s strong suit: Tasca José Avillez holds a Michelin star, while Sublimotion, seating just 12, turns molecular cuisine into a high-tech performance. For events there is the 700 m² Mandarin ballroom with a terrace for 360 guests and a business centre; concierge, car hire and laundry are on hand, and weddings and honeymoon programmes can be arranged.
Location
The hotel sits on the beach in Jumeira, 15 minutes’ drive from central Dubai and 7 km from the World Trade Centre and the International Financial Centre. Dubai International Airport is about 20 minutes away, Al Maktoum International 45 minutes.
Spa
The spa, covering more than 2,000 m², has a hammam, a hydrotherapy area, a relaxation lounge, a boutique and nine treatment rooms including two couples’ suites. Treatments combine Eastern traditions with innovative Western techniques.
Sports & leisure
The outdoor pools are set in landscaped gardens. The fitness centre has Outrace equipment and a yoga studio, and there is a padel court; entertainment and excursions are also arranged.
For children
There is a kids’ club, and family excursion programmes are available.
