About this hotel
General information
Dar Al Masyaf is a collection of ochre, two-storey Arabian summer houses scattered among gardens and winding waterways beside a broad beach. They belong to the Madinat Jumeirah resort, built in the manner of an old Arabian citadel where modern comfort meets local heritage. Interiors are in warm tones, with tiled floors, latticed windows, antique furniture and Arabian ornament, and terraces and balconies look over the gardens and the sea.
Guests are looked after by butlers and have access to the Wild Wadi water park. Within the resort lie Souk Madinat Jumeirah with 75 shops and a traditional bazaar, a 442-seat theatre, meeting rooms and a business centre, while water taxis ply the canals. Weddings and honeymoon programmes can be arranged, yet the mood remains calm and secluded.
Location
The resort lies in the Jumeirah Beach area, 5 minutes’ drive from Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City and 25 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

Talise Spa is set within a garden and includes a sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, hydro-massage showers, a hydro-relaxation area, relaxation rooms, a gym, a yoga studio, a spa restaurant with a healthy menu, a beauty salon and nail rooms. Its 26 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms offer Western and Eastern therapies with natural products, and swimming lessons are held in the pool.
Sports & leisure
Besides a large outdoor pool, the resort has the Quay Healthclub with two indoor pools (one 25 metres long), a gym, sauna, steam room, aerobics studio, two squash courts and a healthy-eating restaurant, plus five floodlit tennis courts. The beach centre offers windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing and motorboat hire and banana rides, with equipment to rent. Golf outings can be arranged, and the Wild Wadi water park is nearby.
