About this hotel
General information
The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort sits on Mallorca's south-west coast a short way from Palma, its four terracotta-toned buildings set among landscaped gardens that run down to the sea. It flies the St. Regis flag and keeps the brand's rituals: a sunset champagne sabrage, a traditional afternoon tea and a house take on the Bloody Mary called the Mardavall Snapper.
There are 125 rooms, suites and residences, every one with a generous private terrace or balcony facing the Mediterranean or the gardens. The St. Regis Butler service covers all categories, from unpacking and pressing to coffee at dawn or a day out on the island. Guests come for the gastronomic restaurant Es Fum, one of the island's larger spas, a cascading pool and the Mar Sea Club right on the waterfront.
Location
The resort lies at Costa d'en Blanes in south-west Mallorca, off the Palma–Andratx road, close to the Puerto Portals yacht harbour at Portals Nous and within easy reach of Palma's old town and cathedral. Palma de Mallorca Airport is about 20 km away; the hotel runs no shuttle, but a private car or limousine can be arranged.
Spa
The spa is among the largest on the island, around 4,700 m² with 11 treatment rooms, a Jacuzzi, dry sauna, Turkish bath, Egyptian brine pool, hydropool, jet shower and ice cave. The heated indoor-outdoor wellness pool with Balinese beds admits guests from 13 accompanied by an adult; the thermal zone is for over-18s only. Treatments run from Ayurveda, massages (couples and in-suite included), facials, scrubs and wraps to manicures and pedicures, alongside programmes for pain relief, detox and slimming, stress and beauty.
Sports & leisure
The fitness centre, with cardio and strength equipment and free weights, is open around the clock, and personal trainers lead yoga, functional training and stretching indoors or outside. About 15 minutes by car are the Arabella Golf courses — Son Muntaner, Son Vida, Son Quint and the nine-hole Son Quint Pitch & Putt — where guests get preferred tee times and reduced green fees; the Arabella Golf Academy offers PGA coaching and Trackman swing analysis. The butler books courts at a nearby tennis club and arranges the transfer. The hotel organises scuba diving, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, jet-skiing and flyboarding, snorkelling, yacht charters, a helicopter trip to Menorca, hiking and coasteering in the Serra de Tramuntana, drives to Valldemossa and Deià, and wine tours; bicycles are complimentary.
For children
The Family Traditions programme centres on the Explorers Club: children register at 10:00 each day, work through explorer tasks and leave with an "Official Explorer" certificate. The club has two children's pools 35 and 40 cm deep, a sandpit, a playground, books and puzzles, and can host birthday parties. Parents must stay on the resort while their children attend, and babysitting can be arranged. Families can join outdoor cinema evenings and other shared activities, the cascade pool has a children's pool, and the golf academy runs a junior programme with a nine-hole par-3 course for children. Marineland is about 1.2 km away.
Restaurants & bars
Three restaurants and a bar, plus room service:
- Es Fum — gastronomic restaurant on the Mediterranean front with the Origen tasting menu; dinner only, formal dress code
- Mar Sea Club — waterfront beach-club restaurant with Mediterranean and Latin American cooking
- Terra — Mallorcan recipes built on local produce; breakfast, lunch and dinner
- The St. Regis Bar — lobby lounge and cocktail bar with light bites
Swimming
The main pool is a cascading outdoor pool with a children's area and a lifeguard; the spa adds a heated indoor-outdoor wellness pool. Mar Sea Club sits right on the shore, and the nearest sandy beach is about 15 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car; the beaches at Portals Nous and Palmanova are around 2 km away.
Pets
Dogs and cats up to 11 kg are welcome, with a maximum of two pets per room.
