About this hotel
General information
Six Senses Ibiza spreads across eight hectares on the island's northern tip, above the clear water of Xarraca Bay. Suites, cave rooms set into the cliff, residences and two mansions follow the contours of the coast among forest and Mediterranean gardens — 137 places to stay in all. The north has long drawn artists, musicians and spiritual seekers, and the resort leans into that heritage, weaving music, art, sustainable fashion, wellness and daily rituals into the stay.
The kitchens draw on Can Tanca, the resort's organic farm inland, where guests can join harvests and cooking sessions. The resort holds BREEAM sustainability certification, filters and bottles its own water and has done away with single-use plastics. Less expected touches include a recording studio, an Earth Lab with zero-waste workshops, an Alchemy Bar using botanicals from its own gardens, and the Agora boutique, which rents out couture for special evenings.
Location
The resort sits on the Cala Xarraca cove on Ibiza's quiet north coast. Ibiza's international airport is around a 35-minute drive away, and the hotel runs transfers by electric van, taking about 40 minutes. The airport handles scheduled flights, private jets and helicopters and is roughly two hours' flying time from most major European cities. Can Tanca farm lies in the centre of the island near Santa Gertrudis, reached by electric van.
Spa
Six Senses Spa covers 1,200 m² inside the cliff: from an entrance marked by a centuries-old olive tree, a spiral wooden staircase leads down through three levels encircled by water. Facilities include a caldarium, steam room, infrared sauna, hammam, tropical rain and cascade showers, a relaxation room and five treatment rooms, plus a salon for manicures, pedicures and hair. Outdoors, massage niches open onto the organic gardens that supply the spa's botanicals. The menu runs from wellness screenings and skin analysis to biohacking with cryotherapy and compression boots, multi-day programmes of 3, 5 or 7 nights (Detox, Sleep, Fitness, Yoga) and sessions with visiting practitioners.
Sports & leisure
A 24-hour gym is joined by a cardio studio, a high-intensity training room, a yoga studio, a seafront yoga deck and an outdoor boxing ring, with personal trainers on hand. The daily calendar covers yoga, meditation, sound healing, breathwork, cacao ceremonies and a sunset ceremony. On the water there is stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking (including sunset tours), snorkelling, sailing, electric-boat trips to nearby coves and cliff jumping. On land, e-mountain bikes follow trails through the pine forest, and guided hikes and cultural tours explore the north; there are also day trips to Formentera, cinema under the stars, zero-waste workshops and farm experiences at Can Tanca.
For children
The Grow With Six Senses kids' club welcomes children aged 4–12 with yoga, arts and crafts, musical games, smoothie making, sculpting, cooking classes, herbarium and salt-art sessions, floral art and cinema. Families also have two lap pools, children's menus in the restaurants, baby cots and babysitting on request; where room capacity allows, a third guest can stay on a day bed at no extra charge.
Restaurants & bars
Dining follows a farm-to-table approach, built on produce from Can Tanca and from local farmers and fishermen.
- Partal — Andalusian cooking with Moorish and Mediterranean accents, served outdoors beneath old olive trees
- The Orchard — Italian dishes among scented trees and flowers, made for long family meals
- The Farmers' Market — the relaxed hub of the resort: Balearic breakfasts from farm produce and Sunday brunch with sea views
- The Beach Caves — Latin American and Mediterranean sharing plates at the water's edge, cocktails, tequila and mezcal, live music; inside, the intimate Bar Secreto hosts private dinners
- Pharmacy Bar — the poolside bar, from daytime refreshers to sundowners and snacks
- The Farm — a rustic restaurant at Can Tanca: breakfasts, wood-fired cooking, traditional flaó and hierbas liqueur, and its own pool
In-villa dining and private dinners in a setting of the guest's choosing, from a clifftop to a rooftop, can be arranged.
Swimming
The main infinity pool looks out over Xarraca Bay and is kept as a quiet pool in high summer, while families have two further lap pools. Some suites open directly onto the infinity pool, and the residences and mansions have pools of their own. At The Beach Caves there is direct access to the beach and sea, with daybeds and a lounge area set on the rocks.
Rooms
There are 137 places to stay: 116 rooms and suites, including Cave suites cut into the cliff at the water's edge, plus 19 residences of three to seven bedrooms and two mansions with five and ten bedrooms. Interiors are contemporary with local touches, and many have a sea-view terrace.
Each has a pillow menu, coffee and tea, a minibar and snack corner, Six Senses bottled water, a safe, a yoga mat, a hairdryer, a satellite TV, a Bluetooth speaker, Wi-Fi and sustainable bath products.
