Jumeirah Mallorca

About this hotel

General information

Jumeirah Mallorca sits on a clifftop high above the bay of Port de Sóller, on Mallorca’s wild north-west coast. On one side lies the open Mediterranean; on the other rise the peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage mountain range. The architecture pairs contemporary lines with traditional island details, and the rooms display a curated art collection. The perfume house Viti Vinci created the hotel’s own scent, Tramuntana Mist, built on cardamom, ginger, bitter orange and patchouli.

There are 121 keys — 81 rooms and 40 suites — each with a balcony or terrace facing the sea or the mountains. The resort has five restaurants and bars, the Talise Spa with an outdoor hydropool, a 24-hour gym, an adults-only Infinity Pool and the family-friendly Sa Talaia Pool, a club for kids and teens, the Gallery RED concept store, and a ballroom and meeting rooms for events and weddings.

Location

The hotel stands on Calle Bélgica in Port de Sóller, on the hillside above a harbour the hotel says has been inhabited since 4,000 BC. The Torre Picada watchtower is about 500 m away and the mountain village of Fornalutx roughly 4 km. A complimentary shuttle runs down to the Port de Sóller waterfront. A private transfer from Palma airport is available around the clock; as taxis in Sóller can be unreliable, the hotel advises booking a transfer or hiring a car. On-site paid parking with valet service and a few electric-car charging points are available.

Spa

Talise Spa sits on the edge of the cliff facing the Tramuntana mountains. It has an outdoor hydropool, a thermal area with a hydrotherapy circuit, a sauna, a steam room and a hammam. The menu includes the Jumeirah Signature Massage, personalised facials, Hydrafacial, couples’ massages, an exfoliating treatment with warm oils, mineral salts and plant essences, and manicures and pedicures. Hotel guests use the thermal area free of charge; the thermal area and the gym are open to guests aged 16 and over.

Sports & leisure
  • Talise Fitness, open 24 hours, with Technogym cardio and strength machines and free weights, a recovery room, sauna and steam room; Pilates, yoga in the studio or outdoors, and personal training
  • Cycling with partner Medfeel Premium Cycling: intermediate rides to Cala Deià (32 km) and Valldemossa (49 km), and elite routes over Puig Major (98 km) and to Sa Calobra (121 km); bikes are set up for each rider, with helmets, pedals and GPS mounts provided
  • Private boat charters along the north coast, with time to swim, a glass of cava and lunch at a coastal restaurant
  • Private helicopter flights for up to four guests from a pad a few minutes from the hotel, over the north-west coast, the Sa Calobra road and Palma

  • A visit to the Son Moragues estate, more than 500 years old and about 20 minutes away by car: olive groves by vintage Land Rover, a tasting of its olive oil, Mallorcan wines and local produce, then paella cooked over an open fire in Valldemossa
  • The Tramuntana Scent Journey at the Viti Vinci atelier near Palma Cathedral, exploring the raw materials and notes of the hotel’s signature fragrance
For children

Barbaroja’s Kids Club welcomes children aged 3 to 12 with unlimited complimentary access for hotel guests, indoor and outdoor play areas and a wide range of activities; lunch can be arranged for an extra charge. Families gather at the Sa Talaia Pool, Cap Roig Brasserie has a children’s menu, and the two-bedroom suites suit larger families. The Infinity Pool, the spa’s thermal area and the gym are reserved for guests aged 16 and over.

Restaurants & bars

Dining draws on Balearic and Asian influences, set against the dramatic clifftop scenery.

  • Cap Roig Brasserie — ground-floor restaurant with a seasonal Mediterranean menu led by fish and seafood; breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a children’s menu
  • Es Fanals — evening restaurant above the Infinity Pool serving refined Mediterranean and Balearic cuisine
  • Sunset Lounge — on the top floor of the main building, with Japanese-Peruvian dishes, signature cocktails and views over the bay
  • Infinity Pool Bar — drinks and light dishes beside the top-floor Infinity Pool, for guests aged 16 and over
  • Sa Talaia Pool Bar — light snacks and refreshing drinks made with local ingredients beside the family pool
Swimming

The main Infinity Pool, overlooking the Mediterranean, is on the hotel’s top level next to Es Fanals and is reserved for guests aged 16 and over. Families with children swim at the Sa Talaia Pool, which has its own bar, and the Talise Spa adds an outdoor hydropool facing the mountains.
