About this hotel
General information
The resort spreads over 46.5 acres beside Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island, one of the largest islands in the Andaman archipelago. Primary rainforest, mangroves and stands of coconut and palmyra palms surround it, home to emerald doves and kingfishers, while coral reefs teeming with marine life lie just offshore.
All 72 villas stand on stilts beneath domed thatched roofs, in an architecture drawn from local building traditions, and the resort was built from plantation timber without felling a single tree. Solar power, a bio-gas plant and locally sourced produce keep its footprint light, and it is EarthCheck certified. Days revolve around the beach and the Olympic-length pool, dives and snorkelling, forest walks with a naturalist and time at the J Wellness Circle spa.
Location
The resort lies beside Radhanagar Beach (Beach No. 7) on Havelock Island, with direct access to the sand. Getting here means a flight to Port Blair followed by a ferry crossing of about 90 minutes to Havelock. The resort arranges ferry tickets and transfers from Port Blair airport and the jetty at an additional charge; these are best booked at least 24 hours before arrival, with ferry times checked before flights are confirmed.
Spa
J Wellness Circle draws on Indian wellness traditions and the principles of Ayurveda, using its own range of natural products made with Indian herbs and essential oils. Each therapy begins with a steam ritual and ends in the relaxation lounge. The menu includes the Nidra massage with kewda, frankincense and brahmi in sandalwood and sesame oils; Sushupti, with an aromatic footbath, a wrap of 22 herbs and a milk bath with rose petals; Vishrama with warm herbal compresses; Pehlwan Malish; Sammardanã; the Champi Indian head massage; and Pāda Mardanā for the feet. There is also a sandalwood and aloe after-sun wrap, a coconut scrub, a signature facial, couples' rituals with a rose-petal bath, a salon, and daily yoga and meditation sessions, among them Surya Namaskar.
Sports & leisure
Facilities include an Olympic-length outdoor infinity pool overlooking the beach, a second outdoor pool, a 24-hour fitness centre with Technogym equipment built around an old mahua tree, a resident yoga instructor, aqua aerobics, bicycles, a jogging track, a games room and evening entertainment. The in-house PADI 5-Star dive centre offers dives and training, and the reefs around the island shelter more than 135 marine species.
- guided forest walks with the resort's naturalist, introducing the island's plants and wildlife;
- a trek to Kalapathar Beach through root tangles of century-old trees and weathered driftwood;
- birding with a guide, with local species such as the Andaman serpent eagle, Andaman coucal and Andaman cuckoo dove;
- day and evening kayaking through the mangroves, ending with the glow of bioluminescence;
- turtle-nesting walks, offered from November to April according to the resort;
- catch-and-release game fishing from the Havelock jetty;
- a Havelock village visit with local snacks and tea;
- guided stargazing, plus half-day and full-day outings planned by the travel desk.
For children
Children have a dedicated activity area and the Wonderhive Passport programme, collecting stamps on a resort map and small rewards for the activities they complete. The Paathyā initiative introduces them to nature through outdoor games and hands-on sessions, while the Déjà Tru family experiences revive old-time pastimes such as the bioscope, the hand mill and forgotten toys.
Restaurants & bars
Three restaurants, with private dining on request – bespoke menus and tables set up in scenic spots, the beach among them – and 24-hour in-room dining.
- Shoreline — all-day dining: North Indian cooking, Hyderabadi specialities and coastal curries built on house-made masalas, alongside thin-crust pizzas and Western dishes;
- The Settlers — regional Indian dinners: island recipes next to dishes from Tamil Nadu, Bengal, Bihar and Kerala, lobster, mud crab and barracuda, extensive vegetarian menus, produce from the resort's gardens, Andaman black pepper and live storytelling at the table;
- Turtle House — an open-air grill overlooking the beach and pool: small bites, grilled meats, local seafood and American, European, Middle Eastern and Indian classics with local ingredients, plus cocktails made with house syrups.
Swimming
Radhanagar Beach, with soft white sand and clear turquoise water, holds Blue Flag certification; guests sunbathe on loungers, swim and snorkel over coral reefs home to parrotfish, angelfish and clownfish. The resort has an Olympic-length outdoor infinity pool one level above the fitness centre and a second outdoor pool, while the Grand Luxury Two Bedroom Pool Villa has its own 15-metre pool and the Tata Suite a 20-metre pool overlooking the beach.

Pets are welcome: one dog or cat of up to 15 kg per room, with any special requirements best shared with the resort before arrival.
