About this hotel
General information
The Victoria Falls Hotel is a historic early-20th-century hotel set in its own tropical gardens in the town of Victoria Falls. Its verandas and galleries look out over the Batoka Gorge and the Victoria Falls Bridge, the spray of the Falls rises above the trees, and in the quieter hours their roar carries across the lawns. Arched loggias, broad verandas, lily ponds, palms and flowering shrubs give the place an unhurried rhythm between visits to the Falls.
There are 149 rooms and suites, spread between the main building and the separate Stables Signature Wing. Beyond the restaurants, bar and garden pool, the hotel has a day spa, a hair salon, a gym, a residents' lounge and two galleries: a permanent exhibition of Zimbabwean stone sculpture and a room of wildlife paintings. An activities desk in the foyer arranges walks to the Falls, river cruises, flights over the gorge and safari drives.
Location
The hotel stands in the town of Victoria Falls in western Zimbabwe, its gardens facing the Batoka Gorge and the Victoria Falls Bridge, with the Falls themselves a short walk away. Victoria Falls International Airport is about 25 minutes by car, and private transfers can be arranged on request. Hwange National Park lies some 180 km away.
Spa
Beauty Spa is a small, light-filled day spa offering massages and facial and body treatments with a focus on skin health. Next door, the hair salon handles cuts, styling and treatments for all hair types, best booked a day ahead. Guests in the Stables Signature Wing receive a complimentary 25-minute neck, back or foot massage.

Alongside the outdoor pool and the gym, the activities desk in the foyer arranges time at the Falls, on the river and in the air:

- fishing for tigerfish and bream with a guide who supplies all the equipment
