Wynn Las Vegas

About this hotel

General information

Wynn Las Vegas opened in 2005 and ranks among the tallest buildings on the Las Vegas Strip. Steve Wynn conceived it for its own guests rather than the passing crowd: a golden façade and a waterfall cascading down a rock face into a man-made lake screen it from the boulevard. Inside, restaurants, the spa and boutiques are set among lagoons, landscaped terraces and flowerbeds, and eclectic interiors combine lavish finishes with modern technology.

The resort has its own 18-hole championship course, Wynn Golf Club, designed by Tom and Logan Fazio. Each evening the Lake of Dreams comes alive with a multimedia show of puppetry, holographic imagery and immersive sound, and Encore Theater hosts leading names in music and comedy. Next door, the Encore tower adds all-suite accommodation, a spa, the Encore Beach Club day club and XS nightclub. The complex also has a casino, The Shops at Wynn and Encore and Wynn Plaza Shops — from Bottega Veneta and Balmain to Breitling and Mikimoto — event venues and wedding salons.

Location

The resort is in central Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip, 5 km from the airport.

Spa

Both spas, The Spa at Wynn and The Spa at Encore, hold Forbes Five-Star awards, and the Wynn spa was the first in Las Vegas to receive one. The Spa at Wynn is designed in the calming palette of nightfall, with a flexible, customisable menu that runs from the signature Good Luck Ritual to the Ultimate Facial. Each tower has a fitness centre with cardio and strength equipment, daily classes and certified personal trainers.

Sports & leisure

The pride of the resort is Wynn Golf Club: 18 holes, par 70, USGA-spec greens, PGA-member caddies, Callaway rental clubs and a 600 m² putting green. After dark the Lake of Dreams hosts a multimedia show, Encore Theater brings in major musicians and comedians, and XS and Encore Beach Club draw world-renowned DJs. The Connoisseur by Wynn programme offers hands-on sessions with the resort’s florists, bakers, pizzaiolo and sommeliers.

Restaurants & bars

More than thirty restaurants, bars and lounges across the two towers, among them:

Swimming

The Wynn and Encore pools sit among landscaped gardens, with chaises, daybeds and cabanas supplied with a TV, drinks and fruit, and cocktails and light bites served by the water. Tower Suites guests have a private pool deck with cabanas of their own, and Encore Beach Club adds temperature-controlled pools, cabanas and daybeds with a pool-party mood.
