General information
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park sits on the edge of the famous park in the heart of Manhattan. Holding both the AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Star awards, it balances grand luxury with an almost residential ease, and its finely decorated rooms and penthouses look out over the greenery of Central Park and the New York skyline.
Dining centres on the Contour gastro-lounge and bar, treatments on the La Prairie Spa, and training on a round-the-clock fitness centre with its own Movement Studio. Club rooms open the door to a private lounge with a personal concierge and refreshments through the day. For business there is a 50-seat meeting room and business services; the hotel also arranges weddings and honeymoon programmes, with a limousine service, parking, concierge, laundry and dry cleaning among its services.
Location
The hotel is in central Manhattan beside Central Park and Fifth Avenue, close to Rockefeller Center, Carnegie Hall and Broadway. LaGuardia Airport is 11 km away; JFK and Newark are both around 25 km, or roughly 40 minutes by car.
Spa
La Prairie Spa was the Swiss house’s first spa in the United States. It has a steam room, separate men’s and women’s lounges and treatment rooms for facials and body rituals using La Prairie products, along with massages (couples’ treatments included), scrubs, wraps, manicures and pedicures; massages can also be booked in-suite.
Sports & leisure
The 24-hour fitness centre has cardio and strength equipment and free weights, and the Movement Studio, also open around the clock, adds Peloton bikes and a Concept2 rower. The concierge provides maps for exploring Central Park, and picnic baskets from the executive chef can be ordered for an afternoon on the lawns.
For children
Younger guests have the Ritz Kids programme, with their own check-in desk and welcome toy, a children’s menu, bathtime treats and sweets and games in the Club Lounge. Babysitting is available on request.
Restaurants & bars
Contour is an elegant gastro-lounge and bar serving refined dishes made from carefully chosen produce, alongside a broad list of cocktails, wines and aperitifs. In-room dining is also available.

Up to two pets of up to 27 kg (60 lb) each are welcome per room, for an additional charge.
