About this hotel
General information
The Peninsula Chicago stands in the middle of the Magnificent Mile, close to the historic Water Tower and the city’s other landmarks. Since opening in 2001 it has held a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating and the AAA Five Diamond award every year, and its bright interiors and oversized windows frame Michigan Avenue, Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline.
The spa and fitness centre, with a 25-metre pool, occupy the 19th and 20th floors and look out over the city. Shanghai Terrace serves contemporary Chinese cuisine and The Lobby contemporary American dishes, while Z Bar mixes cocktails on the rooftop and Pierrot Gourmet is a European café at street level. The conference centre covers 2,880 m², its largest hall seating up to 1,000 guests, and there is a business centre, parking, car hire and wedding programmes. Respectability, classic elegance and 21st-century comfort sit comfortably together here.
