Park Hyatt New York

About this hotel

General information

Park Hyatt New York, the brand’s flagship, opened in 2014 on the first 25 floors of Christian de Portzamparc’s 90-storey One57 tower in Midtown Manhattan, directly across the street from Carnegie Hall and a block from Central Park. Museums, Lincoln Center and the boutiques of Fifth Avenue are within easy reach. Inside, the mood is quiet and private: Yabu Pushelberg interiors in calm tones, finished in natural stone and hung with a rotating art collection, with service shaped around each guest’s own habits.

Spa Nalai, with its saltwater pool, occupies the 25th floor, while The Living Room Restaurant & Bar sets the tone downstairs. For meetings and private occasions there are 743 m² of event space — among them Bevy, two banqueting rooms, three meeting rooms and a boardroom opening onto a 97 m² terrace — and weddings are arranged in house.

Location

The hotel stands on West 57th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues in the centre of New York, facing Carnegie Hall, a block from Central Park and close to MoMA and Lincoln Center. JFK Airport is 21 km away.

Spa

Spa Nalai on the 25th floor is the first spa in New York to work exclusively with KOS PARIS. The menu centres on massages and facials, and facilities include a saltwater pool, a eucalyptus steam room and an oversized hot tub.

Sports & leisure

The 24-hour fitness centre looks out over the Manhattan skyline, next to the pool and steam room of Spa Nalai. Bicycles are available to hire, and the running paths of Central Park are a block away.

For children

Families can book connecting rooms, children’s programmes are offered, and babysitting can be arranged.

Restaurants & bars

The Living Room Restaurant & Bar, styled like a comfortable New York apartment, runs from breakfast to late evening, pairing lunch and dinner with handcrafted cocktails, champagne and a wine list. In-room dining is available around the clock.

Swimming

The indoor saltwater pool sits on the 25th floor in a three-storey, daylit space, with underwater music composed for the hotel by Carnegie Hall.

Pets

Pets are welcome.
