About this hotel
General information
Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea opened in March 1990 above the golden crescent of Wailea Beach on Maui. The eight-storey resort has 383 rooms, 71 of them suites, dressed in a contemporary tropical style with koa-inspired wood furniture and backed by a large collection of contemporary Hawaiian art. Gardens set with traditional hale, sculpture and plumeria, and the nightly hula and sunset torch lighting, give the place an unhurried island rhythm.
A multi-phase transformation has brought refreshed rooms, new pool and beach cabanas, the KOMO sushi restaurant and Kai Holo Spa, which opened in July 2026. A cultural programme introduces guests to Hawaiian traditions, and a 644 m² ballroom seats up to 500 for events.
Location
The resort sits on Wailea Alanui Drive in Wailea, directly above Wailea Beach; The Shops at Wailea are less than 1.6 km away, and the Gold, Emerald and Blue golf courses five minutes by car. Kahului Airport (OGG) is 27 km away, a 25–30 minute drive. The concierge arranges car or limousine transfers, helicopter transfers to Wailea and plane-side pick-up for private jets, and a resort car takes guests around Wailea free of charge.
Spa
Kai Holo Spa blends Hawaiian healing traditions with modern wellness technology: 13 treatment rooms and three open-air hale above the beach, built without nails or screws among naupaka hedges. The shared Aquathermal centre has warm vitality pools, cold plunges, a hot tub, aromatic steam, an infrared sauna, a sanarium and sensory showers. Next|Health programmes cover IV and NAD+ therapy, hyperbaric oxygen and biomarker testing, while the signature Kai Holo Oceanside Ritual moves from a black sea-salt foot soak to a polish with resort-harvested honey and a kukui-oil massage. There is a salon and barber, and treatments are also given by the pool.
Sports & leisure
A Technogym fitness centre with cardio and weights areas, a stretching deck and movement studio is complemented by an open-air cardio area available to guests around the clock. The grounds hold two tennis courts, three pickleball courts, a putting green, a croquet lawn and electric bikes. The water sports team arranges snorkelling, scuba, boogie boarding, stand-up paddleboarding, whale watching and catamaran trips to Molokini Crater. Up to six complimentary activities run daily, from Hawaiian cultural programmes and meetings with local artists to a weekly tour of the resort’s beehives.
For children
The complimentary Kids for All Seasons club takes children aged five and up daily from 9:00 to 17:00, with licensed staff running indoor and outdoor activities in a dedicated facility. Families also have a keiki pool, a games room for all ages and children’s treatments in the salon.

There are three saltwater pools, including an adults-only pool, plus a keiki pool for children; poolside service covers full meals, chilled treats and reef-friendly sunscreen.
