General information
Viceroy Snowmass sits at the foot of Assay Hill in Snowmass Village, high in the Colorado Rockies, and describes itself as the only ski-in, ski-out luxury resort in Snowmass. Instead of conventional rooms it offers studios, residences and penthouses with kitchens in two buildings, the new Cirque Tower and the Pinnacle Tower. It is open all year: skiing in winter, hiking, riding and biking in the warmer months.
The spa, about 650 m², was designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, and some of its therapies draw on the healing traditions of the valley’s Indigenous peoples. There is a Latin restaurant by chef Richard Sandoval, a slope-side tavern, a lounge and a café, a heated pool with three soaking tubs that stays open through the seasons, Four Mountain Sports rentals with a ski concierge, and a ballroom and meeting rooms for events and weddings.
Location
The resort stands at 130 Wood Road in Snowmass Village, right on Assay Hill, with Aspen close by. Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is about 13 km away, with complimentary shared transfers when booked 24 hours ahead; Eagle County Regional Airport is about 108 km and Denver International about 354 km. Valet parking, local transport around Snowmass Village and electric-car charging are available.
Spa
The Spa at Viceroy Snowmass occupies about 650 m² on the first floor and works with local, sustainably harvested ingredients. The menu covers massage (custom, CBD, arnica, hot stone, prenatal and a High Altitude Massage with oxygen to help the body adjust), body rituals, facials, couples’ treatments and a champagne ritual of mineral soak, scrub and massage. A yoga studio sits within the spa.
Sports & leisure
The 24-hour fitness centre has Woodway treadmills, Peloton bikes and a water rower, with private yoga, Pilates and personal training on request. In summer the concierge arranges e-bikes to Aspen or the Maroon Bells, horse rides with Snowmass Stables, jeep and ATV tours, mountain picnics, a tour of the Aspen farmers’ market with a Viceroy chef and a scenic flight to Moab with a rafting trip on the Colorado River. The Lost Forest adventure park with its Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, the Snowmass Rodeo and summer concerts are nearby; winter adds snowmobiling, skating and snowshoeing.
For children
The V Team Kids programme greets children with an adventure book and coloured pencils at check-in and offers arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt around the village and board games, booked through the concierge a day ahead. Two- and three-bedroom residences and connecting suites suit families, and the Lost Forest at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola has activities for every age.

Seasonal menus rely on regional, organic produce.

Swimming
The heated outdoor pool and three soaking tubs sit on the third-floor terrace on the Assay Hill side and are open year-round; the pool and loungers are reserved for hotel guests.
Skiing
The resort is ski-in, ski-out on Assay Hill at Snowmass Mountain, which has more than 1,300 hectares of skiable terrain, and lift passes cover all four Aspen Snowmass mountains. Four Mountain Sports on the third floor rents skis, snowboards, boots and helmets with complimentary overnight storage, and provides a ski valet and a full-time ski concierge; private or small-group lessons for up to five are booked through the concierge.
Pets
Under the VIPets programme, fully house-trained dogs under 45 kg (100 lb) stay in the rooms; they receive a leash and bags on arrival, a bed and bowls on request, treats via room service, and the concierge can arrange dog walking. The hotel should be told in advance.
Rooms
Accommodation ranges from studios to four-bedroom penthouses across the new Cirque Tower and the Pinnacle Tower, plus connecting suites that combine two units. Most residences have a full kitchen, gas fireplace, balcony and washer-dryer.
