The Peninsula Beverly Hills

About this hotel

General information

The Peninsula Beverly Hills is set among lush tropical gardens at the heart of Beverly Hills. It is known for a deeply personal style of service: regulars are greeted by name and their preferences remembered, and many return year after year. Rooms look out over the city and the gardens, pairing refined decor with genuine comfort.

There are two restaurants and two bars, a rooftop pool with views across Beverly Hills and Century City, The Peninsula Spa and a 24-hour fitness centre, while the Peninsula Academy runs cultural and leisure programmes for the whole family. Five event rooms hold 22–260 guests, with a rooftop terrace besides, and weddings are arranged in-house. A Rolls-Royce house car takes guests around Beverly Hills and Century City at no charge, suite guests have a car at their disposal for the stay, and the hotel’s own concierge team at LAX meets arrivals at baggage claim.

Location

The hotel sits in central Beverly Hills at the junction of Wilshire and South Santa Monica Boulevards, a few steps from Rodeo Drive and 18.5 km from Los Angeles International Airport.

Spa

The Peninsula Spa on the fifth floor uses Biologique Recherche and Medical Beauty Research for facials, including the Geneo treatment, body care and nails, and offers massages from deep tissue to hot stone with Asian and Ayurvedic influences. It has seven treatment rooms, a private nail suite, a spa cabana with a cold plunge and a relaxation lounge with city views. Ricari Studios adds sculpting and lymphatic drainage treatments, and The Hair Atelier is run by stylist David Pierre. The spa is open to guests aged 18 and over.

Sports & leisure

The 24-hour fitness centre has cardio and strength equipment, and personal trainers lead one-to-one yoga and Pilates on request. The Peninsula Academy runs bespoke cultural and leisure programmes for adults and children, the concierge arranges excursions, and the boutiques of Rodeo Drive and the Golden Triangle are a short walk away.

For children

The hotel is well set up for families, and the Peninsula Academy runs family programmes.

Restaurants & bars

Two restaurants and two bars cover everything from breakfast in the garden to a late martini, with Luis Cuadra as executive chef.

  • The Belvedere — a European brasserie with a Californian outlook and a bold contemporary art collection, open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, with Robert Indiana’s Love sculpture on the terrace
  • The Roof Garden — produce-driven Californian cooking by the rooftop pool, from breakfast to dinner
  • The Club Bar — a low-lit bar for spirit-forward classics and refined small plates
  • The Living Room — afternoon tea with champagne to the sound of a harp, and martinis with hors d’oeuvres in the evening
  • 24-hour in-room dining
Swimming

The 18-metre outdoor pool and hot tub sit on the roof, with panoramic views of Los Angeles and Century City and the Peninsula’s signature yellow-and-white stripes. Guests can rent one of eight standard cabanas (up to 4) or two deluxe cabanas (up to 6), each with television, safe, fridge and heater; cocktails, juices and light dishes are served poolside, along with manicures, pedicures and reflexology.
