The Maybourne Beverly Hills

About this hotel

General information

The Maybourne Beverly Hills is the only American address of Maybourne, the London house behind Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley, and it brings that European style of hospitality to the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills, a block from Rodeo Drive and above the lawns of Beverly Cañon Gardens. In 2026 it received a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for the second year running.

Rooms and suites are the work of designer Bryan O’Sullivan: soft curves, a pale Californian palette, floor-to-ceiling windows, marble bathrooms and furniture that nods to the mid-century modernism of Charles and Ray Eames and Richard Neutra, with collectible art throughout. Private residences occupy the top floors, the rooftop pool looks towards the Hollywood Hills, and the building also houses the Gornik & Drucker barbershop and a salon run by the team behind The Salons by Joseph. Event spaces range from a chandelier-lit ballroom to the open-air Garden Terrace.

Location

The hotel stands at 225 North Cañon Drive in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills, a short walk from the boutiques of Rodeo Drive and next to Beverly Cañon Gardens. Los Angeles International Airport is about 35 minutes away by car and the Burbank and Long Beach airports about 40 minutes; the concierge arranges private transfers.

Spa

The Spa at The Maybourne, which the hotel describes as the largest luxury spa in Los Angeles, centres on a co-ed mineral pool, with separate saunas, steam rooms and relaxation lounges for women and men (the women’s side adds a hot tub), cabanas and a boutique. Massages, facials and body treatments use bespoke oil blends, healing salts and muds, and the spa is the only place in Los Angeles offering Knesko Skin’s Gold Repair ritual. Hair and beauty are handled by The Salon.

Sports & leisure

The heated saltwater pool sits on the ninth-floor roof among native trees and flowering plants, with loungers and private cabanas. The 24-hour fitness centre has Woodway treadmills, Peloton bikes and Wattbikes and Technogym elliptical trainers. The concierge arranges city tours in the hotel’s pink Moke, suite guests can use a BMW i7 for a few hours a day, and bespoke culinary and cultural experiences can be booked.

For children

There is no dedicated kids’ club, but families are well looked after: many rooms and suites connect, children are welcome in the rooftop pool, and the concierge plans family days out, from museums to the Pacific beaches.

Restaurants & bars

Restaurants and bars run from the garden level to the roof.

  • Dante Beverly Hills — the first West Coast outpost of the New York restaurant and aperitivo bar, on the roof: spritzes, oysters and Mediterranean dishes from the wood-fired oven, with live music in the afternoons
  • The Terrace — piazza-style dining overlooking Beverly Cañon Gardens: house-made pasta, meat, fish and farmers’ market produce, plus afternoon tea
  • The Maybourne Bar — cocktail and wine bar, and the only dedicated caviar and oyster bar in Beverly Hills
  • The Maybourne Café — all-day café for pastries and light bites, looking over the gardens
  • The Whisky Bar — rare Scotch and Japanese whiskies alongside small-batch bourbons
  • Dante Poolside — salads, sandwiches and aperitivo snacks by the rooftop pool
  • Private dining rooms with a Chef’s Table, and in-room dining
Swimming

There is no beach. Swimming is in the heated saltwater rooftop pool, reserved for hotel guests, with loungers, service from Dante and private cabanas fitted with sofas, a smart TV and a mini fridge. The spa has a second, mineral-water pool.

Pets

Dogs are welcome: rooms are prepared with bowls and a soft bed, treats are provided and an all-day canine menu is available. The hotel should be told about a pet when booking; pets are not allowed in Dante’s indoor dining areas.

Rooms, suites and three-bedroom residences were designed by Bryan O’Sullivan, with bespoke furniture, pastel tones and wide windows; many have a balcony or terrace facing the city, the gardens or the Hollywood Hills.
