General information
Hotel Montevideo occupies a well-known corner building in Pocitos, a Montevideo neighbourhood of old houses, cafés and a long culinary tradition. It was conceived as much as a place to eat and drink as a place to sleep: the Polo Bamba bistro on the ground floor runs from breakfast to dinner, and on the tenth floor a bar opens in the evening above the city’s rooftops.
There are 80 rooms and suites. The interiors play on colour and texture with furniture made for the hotel, floor-to-ceiling windows bring in plenty of light, and every room has its own balcony. Guests have a heated outdoor pool, a fitness room, round-the-clock reception, concierge and room service, and several oak-floored meeting rooms. The hotel runs partly on solar power, composts its food waste and buys mainly from small local producers.
Location
The hotel stands on a street corner in the heart of Pocitos, among historic houses, cultural venues and restaurants. Most of the city’s leisure spots and business districts are within walking distance or a short drive. For guests arriving by car there is indoor parking and an electric-vehicle charging point.
Sports & leisure
The connected fitness room is equipped with WaterRower machines. The heated outdoor pool is a place to swim with the city skyline in view, and the streets of Pocitos, with their old houses and restaurants, are easy to explore on foot.
Restaurants & bars
Polo Bamba on the ground floor is a classic all-day bistro, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from a kitchen built around seasonal produce from local suppliers. In the evening guests head up to Polo Bamba Skybar on the tenth floor, with an indoor room and an open-air terrace, for tapas and signature cocktails against the sunset and the city views.
Swimming
The hotel’s outdoor pool is heated, and swimmers look out over the Montevideo skyline.

Pets weighing up to 20 kg are welcome.
Rooms
The 80 rooms and suites range from the 32 m² Superior Room to the 72 m² Residence with a kitchenette for longer stays; all have a balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows facing the city.
Rooms have Italian 600-thread-count cotton linen, a 55-inch smart TV, Wi-Fi, individual heating and air conditioning, a Carrara marble bathroom with a walk-in shower, organic toiletries, a laptop-size safe, a minibar stocked with local products, a Nespresso machine, a kettle with a selection of teas, a hair dryer and slippers; all rooms are non-smoking.
Superior Room
A bright room with a sitting area, a work desk, a private balcony and city views, with a king-size bed or two twin beds. Sleeps two adults plus a child up to 3 in a cot; connecting rooms are available on request.
Deluxe King Room
A room with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, a large private balcony, generous wardrobe space, a sitting area and a king-size bed. Sleeps two adults plus a child up to 3 in a cot.
Suite
A king-bedded bedroom and a separate living room that opens onto two furnished balconies looking towards Pocitos. Sleeps two adults plus a child up to 3 in a cot.
Family Suite
Two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one with two twin beds, and a private balcony. Sleeps two adults and two children up to 12.
Residence
Set up for longer stays, with a king-bedded bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe, a separate living room with a dining table, a fully equipped kitchenette and a private balcony. Sleeps two adults plus a child up to 3 in a cot.
