General information
Hotel Costanero Montevideo – MGallery sits on the rambla in Pocitos, right above the bay of the same name, and was conceived as a tribute to the light of the sea and sky over the Río de la Plata. The eleven-storey building is almost entirely glazed: broad windows draw in daylight, mirror the water and tie the interiors to the waterfront, so the living spaces seem to lean out over the bay. Inside, the mood is modernist, with pieces by local artists.
There are 92 rooms and suites looking out to the sea or the city, Cauce restaurant and bar on the first floor, a wellness area with a sauna and massage room, an outdoor pool and a gym. For guests combining travel with work there is a meeting room and a set of small private offices of around 10 m² overlooking the central atrium. The hotel holds an independent eco-label certification.
Location
The hotel stands on the Pocitos rambla in Montevideo, a few steps from Pocitos beach. The Old Town (Ciudad Vieja) and its Mercado del Puerto are about 10 minutes away by car, the National Museum of Visual Arts 2.8 km away, and the waterfront leads west to the Punta Carretas lighthouse and east to the Buceo marina and on to Carrasco. A city bus stop is a 5-minute walk. Reception arranges taxis and transfers from Montevideo's international airport; paid parking is available on site.
Spa
The wellness area is lit by a skylight. The spa offers tailored treatments — body massages and calming head treatments — alongside a sauna, with the pool and gym close by.
Sports & leisure
The gym is fitted with modern equipment, and personal training is available. The outdoor pool is open all year. A walk along the rambla below the hotel is a very Montevidean way to spend a morning or evening — west to the Punta Carretas lighthouse, east to the Buceo marina — and a concierge service is on hand.

Restaurants & bars
Cauce restaurant, on the first floor, faces the sea through panoramic windows and carries the building's modernist feel. Its kitchen pairs Uruguayan and international dishes with creative touches and cooks only with produce from Uruguay, serving a breakfast buffet, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Next door, Cauce Bar serves tapas, coffee, pastries and cocktails, among them the signature Bahia de Pocitos, made with grappamiel and Tannat wine, citrus notes and a bay leaf. A gourmet room-service menu runs through the day, and breakfast can be brought to the room.
Swimming
The hotel's outdoor pool is open year-round. Pocitos, the city beach on the Río de la Plata, lies just across the rambla, a few steps from the entrance.
Pets
Small pets are welcome, with designated areas in the public spaces; details are best agreed with the hotel in advance. Service animals are welcome.

The 92 rooms and suites are styled in a modern, design-led way and look out to the sea or the city; eight rooms connect.
Each room has air conditioning, a dressing room, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, a 55- or 65-inch TV, safe, work desk, high-speed Wi-Fi and a bathroom with hairdryer and make-up mirror.
Deluxe Suite with Terrace and Sea View
A top-floor suite with a king-size bed, a separate living room and a terrace overlooking Pocitos Bay and the city skyline. It has a dressing room and a compartmentalised bathroom; sleeps up to three.
Junior Suite
A spacious suite with a king-size bed, a living room plus a further private room, a dressing room and a compartmentalised bathroom. Sleeps up to four.
Executive Room with Sea View
A room with a king-size bed, a sitting area, a dressing room and a work desk set by the window over Pocitos Bay. Sleeps up to four.
Deluxe Room with Sea View
A sea-view room with a dressing room and work desk; it has a king-size bed, and some can be set up with twin beds instead. Sleeps up to three.
Superior Room
A room with either a king-size bed or two twin beds, a dressing room and a work desk. Sleeps up to three.
