General information
Verholy Relax Park is a countryside spa hotel set deep in a pine forest just outside Poltava, its accommodation scattered among the trees: rooms and suites in the main building, cottages, five private chalets and a villa. It was built without felling a single tree, and that respect for the forest shapes everything — panoramic windows that mirror the pines, interiors of wood, metal and natural materials, and a quiet broken mainly by birdsong.
Days unfold slowly here, between the Relax SPA with its indoor pool, the Food & Forest restaurant cooking with local, seasonal produce, an equestrian centre and the forest trails. Some of the vegetables are grown on site, and three conference halls host meetings and celebrations, the largest covering 244 m² and seating up to 188 theatre-style.
Location
The hotel lies in the village of Sosnivka in Poltava District, surrounded by pine forest close to Poltava. Forest walks combine easily with a trip into the city for Round Square and the Korpusnyi Garden.
Spa
Relax SPA brings together a hammam, a sanarium — a sauna that switches between five modes, from a tropical bath to a herbal steam — a traditional sauna, a jacuzzi and a 16 m heated indoor pool with its own bar. Treatments cover face, body, hands and feet, alongside classic massages, massages with bamboo sticks or buckwheat pouches, and hammam rituals. A gym and the Phyto Bar sit alongside, and in the evening the spa is reserved for adults.
Sports & leisure
An active day is easy to put together without leaving the grounds:
- an equestrian centre with horse riding along dedicated forest routes
- walks and bike rides through the pine forest, with bikes, hoverboards and skis for hire
- table tennis, streetball, basketball and volleyball
- a gym, where a personal trainer can draw up a programme
- 15 pools, among them the heated outdoor Premium pool set among the pines
- a reading room for quiet hours, and photo sessions in scenic spots, including with the horses
For children
Children have a playroom with educational games, a children's pool in the Pool Zone, a rope park and a play hut, the Children Hut. Scooters, bikes, table tennis and water games keep younger guests busy, and a nanny service is available on request.
Restaurants & bars
Dining centres on the Food & Forest restaurant and four bars:
- Food & Forest — contemporary cooking from local, seasonal produce, blending Ukrainian and European traditions; a 150-seat main hall plus a terrace and a pontoon, each seating 50
- Lobby Bar — wine, freshly brewed coffee, tea, homemade pastries and desserts by the fireplace
- Pich — an intimate spot for a glass of champagne or wine
- Phyto Bar — herbal teas, protein and vitamin shakes, salads and light snacks
- Pool Bar — cocktails, drinks and dishes right by the pool
Swimming
There is no beach; instead the grounds hold 15 pools. The Pool Zone has the main pool, 120–180 cm deep with water at 27–29 °C, a whirlpool and a children's pool, with the Pool Bar alongside, while the heated Premium pool sits among the pines near the cottages. The spa adds a 16 m indoor pool, and the chalets and the villa have private pools of their own. The main pool and the whirlpool are for guests aged 12 and over.
Pets
Pets up to 12 kg are welcome in the cottages and chalets only, for a fee. They are not allowed in the spa, at breakfast or at the riding club.
Rooms
The main building holds 23 rooms and suites, while cottages, five chalets and the Forest Villa stand in the surrounding forest. Interiors are light, with wooden accents and panoramic windows, and every room has a balcony or terrace facing the pines.
Every room has air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV, a minibar, a coffee machine and bathroom toiletries, and most categories also offer room service.
Cottage Premium 8-28
A one-room high-tech cottage with large picture windows onto the pine forest, a double or twin beds and a furnished terrace. Sleeps two.
Junior Suite
A spacious one-room suite zoned for both rest and work, with a double or twin beds and a balcony. Sleeps two.
Deluxe Studio
A one-room studio with a generous work area, a double bed and a cosy balcony with a view. Sleeps two.
Family Suite
A family room with a double bed, a sofa that converts into a bed and a balcony with wide views. Sleeps three.
Family Cottage
A one-room cottage designed for families, with a double bed, a sofa bed and a private terrace facing the forest. Sleeps three.
Cottage Premium Lux 5
A cottage with pared-back signature design, a double bed and a furnished terrace. Sleeps two.
Cottage Premium Lux 6
A small cottage in the pine forest, divided into a bedroom with a double bed and a sitting area opening onto the terrace. Sleeps three.
Suite
A two-room suite with a double bed, space to work and a large balcony overlooking the pine forest. Sleeps two.

Verholy Duplex
A two-level room: a large living room with a sofa and armchairs below, a wooden staircase up to the bedroom with a double bed, and panoramic windows and a balcony overlooking the lake and the restaurant's summer terrace. Sleeps four.
Relax Premium Cottage
A cottage with two bedrooms, a lounge area and a private spa with a Finnish sauna, plus a terrace looking out over the pine forest. Sleeps four.
Forest Villa
A villa with two bedrooms, a living room with a large dining table and bar counter, a patio in the forest and a private spa with a Finnish sauna and pool behind panoramic windows. Sleeps four.
Chalet 1
A chalet on a secluded forest plot with a living room and fireplace, a private pool, an outdoor jacuzzi, a gazebo and a guest house; wooden installations and sculptures were made especially for the hotel. Three bedrooms, up to six guests.
Chalet 2
A chalet with two bedrooms, a separate living room with fireplace, a terrace facing the pines, an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, and a gazebo. Up to four guests.
Chalet 3
A chalet with two roomy bedrooms, a fireplace, an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, a gazebo and a private terrace with forest views. Up to four guests.
Chalet 4
A chalet with three bedrooms, each with a forest view, a fireplace, an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, and a gazebo. Up to six guests.
