General information
Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv is a five-star hotel in Podil, set right on the bank of the Dnipro River. Its pale, richly ornamented façade, likened to a wedding cake, faces the embankment, and the heart of the building is an atrium beneath a glass dome, full of daylight. Inside, classic grandeur meets bold detail: heavy drapes, gilded chandeliers, floral bedspreads, jewel-toned carpets and marble bathrooms.
There are 258 rooms and suites, and even the smallest measure 40 m², with views of the Dnipro, the city or the atrium. Marigold restaurant reinterprets Ukrainian cooking, evenings settle into the Vintage Cocktail Bar, and there is Elixir Spa Deluxe along with a pool and a hammam. The Atrium and Kyiv Hall host weddings, gala dinners and large receptions; the hotel is entirely non-smoking and welcomes guests travelling with pets.
Location
The hotel stands at 1 Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street in Podil, the historic district beside the Dnipro River. Poshtova Ploshcha metro station is about a three-minute walk away and Kontraktova Ploshcha roughly ten; St Andrew's Church, at the top of Andriivskyi Descent, is 1.5 km off, St Sophia's Cathedral 2.9 km, the Golden Gate 3 km and the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra 4.3 km. Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi railway station lies about 5 km away, with private transfers arranged on request, and guests arriving by car can use the 57-space underground garage.

Elixir Spa Deluxe offers massages and spa rituals designed for relaxation and balance, given by experienced therapists in a calm, private setting. The hotel also has a pool, a sauna and a hammam.
Sports & leisure
The fitness centre, with up-to-date equipment and steam rooms, is free for hotel guests, and the hotel also has a pool. The real pleasure here is walking: along the Dnipro embankment, through the streets of Podil to Kontraktova Square and up Andriivskyi Descent to the Upper Town. The concierge is on hand daily to book restaurant tables and suggest routes to the main sights. The hotel holds film evenings paired with themed dinners, and classical concerts fill the Atrium. For events there is the 375 m² Atrium, seating up to 250 for a banquet or 500 for a reception, and the 314 m² Kyiv Hall for 150; the business centre is open around the clock.

Restaurants & bars
Marigold restaurant weaves Ukrainian traditions together with European customs, serving familiar Ukrainian dishes in a refined style, and in the morning it lays out a buffet breakfast. Vintage Cocktail Bar, dressed in dark grey with vintage pieces, is open from noon until late: signature cocktails created for the bar alone, fine spirits, vinyl records and a smart casual dress code. Room service runs around the clock.
