About this hotel
General information
COMO Parrot Cay occupies a private island of more than 1,000 acres (roughly 400 hectares) in the northern Caribbean, with a long white-sand beach on one side and forest, mangroves and gardens inland. The look is relaxed beach-house style with a contemporary edge, in teak and white cotton, designed by Keith Hobbs.
Guests stay in rooms, suites, beach houses and villas, or in multi-bedroom private residences. Beach houses, villas and residences stand on the sand, each with its own private pool and a COMO butler. The island is also home to COMO Shambhala, one of the group’s first wellness retreats.
Location
COMO Parrot Cay sits on its own island north of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The transfer from Providenciales International Airport takes about 50 minutes: a 15-minute drive to Leeward Marina, then a 35-minute boat ride.
Spa
COMO Shambhala has nine treatment rooms, among them a private cottage, pavilions and a meditation hut, with pavilions overlooking the channel on the opposite side of the island from the villas. It specialises in Asian-inspired holistic therapies, including reflexology, alongside massages, facials and body treatments with COMO Shambhala products. Facilities include an infinity pool with a sundeck, separate steam and sauna rooms for men and women, outdoor Jacuzzis, a Jacuzzi garden, a yoga pavilion and a Pilates studio.
Sports & leisure
- Complimentary: daily wellness sessions such as yoga, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, snorkelling gear and bicycles for rides through forest, coconut and banana plantations
- Guided mangrove kayaking among turtles, herons and egrets; private boat and fishing charters, including light-tackle and fly fishing
- Diving on the reefs around the islands, with certification courses run with Big Blue
- Tennis with LUX Tennis; a fully equipped gym, a yoga pavilion and a Pilates studio at COMO Shambhala
For children
PLAY by COMO is a dedicated play space for children aged four to twelve, open daily, with toys, books, games and art materials; younger children must be accompanied by a parent or babysitter. Children’s menus are served in all restaurants, and the Family Beach House is designed with families in mind.
Restaurants & bars
Dining is built around Caribbean seafood and COMO Shambhala Kitchen’s light Caribbean and Mediterranean flavours, with vegetarian and vegan dishes.
- Lotus — poolside restaurant: light Caribbean dishes by day, contemporary Asian cuisine at night
- Terrace — the more formal restaurant in the heart of the island, modern Italian, indoor and al fresco seating; afternoon tea is served at Terrace Bar
- COMO Beach Club — relaxed beachfront venue with snacks and cocktails
- Private dining — in a tiki hut, a cottage or on the villa deck with a private chef, plus in-room dining
