General information
Six Senses Kaplankaya is a secluded resort on the Aegean coast, across the bay to the north of Bodrum, near the village of Bozbük. Its rooms step down the hillside in terraces so that the whole place reads like a Mediterranean village, with paths winding between the buildings, villas and residences through olive groves, cypresses and oleander. Interiors are pared back and built from natural materials, and the sea fills almost every window.
There are 141 rooms and suites plus residences of three to five bedrooms. The resort’s centrepiece is a spa of about 10,000 m², with wellness programmes, health screening and specialists in movement, sleep and nutrition. The kitchens rely on local farmers and the resort’s own organic garden, the Earth Lab shows guests the resort’s sustainability work, and families have a kids’ club, a family beach and plenty to do outdoors. The resort operates in season.
Location
The resort has its own stretch of coastline near the village of Bozbük in the Milas district — not Bodrum town itself, but a quiet shore across the bay to its north. From Milas–Bodrum Airport the journey takes about 50 minutes by car, an hour by yacht or ten minutes by helicopter (a car replaces the flight in poor weather). The concierge arranges car, boat and helicopter transfers, and guests are met on arrival at the airport.
Spa
Six Senses Spa covers about 10,000 m²: 38 treatment rooms; separate men’s and women’s hydrothermal areas with heated loungers, a crystal steam room, Finnish sauna, experience showers, a hydrotherapy pool, an ice igloo, a salt grotto and foot basins; men’s, women’s and mixed hammams; a private sauna and steam room for couples; an indoor pool for aquatic exercise and Watsu, and a cold plunge. There is also a meditation cave, the Alchemy Bar, a nail and hair salon and a barber. The Health & Healing centre offers wellness screening, Ayurvedic consultations, doctor and exercise physiologist assessments, BOD POD body-composition analysis and VO2 max testing. Programmes cover fitness, detox, yoga, weight management, longevity, sleep, brain health and immunity, and a nurse and physiotherapist are on site during the day.
Sports & leisure
The gym is open around the clock, with a cardio studio, a weights and movement room, Pilates, yoga and cycling studios, a squash court with a TRX area and a waterfront spot for yoga and meditation; personal trainers are available. Outside there are tennis courts, basketball, volleyball, wallyball, badminton and table tennis. Guides lead hikes and bike rides along the coast (e-bikes included), and the water offers kayaking, paddleboarding, surfing, jet skiing, snorkelling and diving. The resort also runs cooking classes, market and organic-garden tours with the chefs, Alchemy Bar workshops, helicopter sightseeing, boat trips and private cruises to the nearby Greek islands, and excursions to Ephesus, Didyma, Miletus, Myndos and the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus.
For children
Grow With Six Senses runs indoor and outdoor activities for children: swimming, tennis, basketball, football, bowling, yoga, painting, cooking classes, crafts and recycling workshops at the Earth Lab. There is a playground, an indoor playroom and a family beach, and private swimming lessons can be arranged. Babysitting is available during the day and is booked a day in advance.
Restaurants & bars
The cooking is Aegean, Mediterranean and Turkish, built on local producers and the resort’s own organic garden:
- Sage & Sea — the main restaurant, with a bar and vast windows: a generous Turkish breakfast and an eclectic dinner menu
- Meze by the Sea — Aegean cooking, the day’s catch and Turkish meze
- Ortakoy Beach Bar & Barbeque Grill — a barefoot bar on the sand with cocktails, mocktails, light bites and a grill
- Family Beach — a beach bar on the family beach serving grilled meats
- The Library Café — coffee and cocktails among armchairs and sofas with a sea view
- The Alchemy Bar — an intimate space with a vertical garden for workshops and special events for up to 12
- Sip & Senses — a wine room with around 350 labels from around the world
- Destination dining — on wooden decks by the sea, in a secluded bay or on a villa terrace; 24-hour in-room dining
Swimming
The resort has several private sandy beaches with drinks and snacks served, one of them a dedicated family beach. There are also two large outdoor pools and an indoor all-weather pool.
Pets
Guests travelling with pets stay only in the Ridge Terrace rooms and the residences; pets are not allowed in the main building, spa, fitness facilities, pool areas or restaurants. A pet fee is charged per stay.
Rooms
141 rooms and suites: 75 in the main building, all with balconies facing the Aegean, and 66 in Ridge Terrace, a separate wing with private terraces, small gardens and, in some rooms, private pools. Larger families and groups have residences of three to five bedrooms with a kitchen, garden and pool.

Four-Bedroom Pool Residence
A residence with four bedrooms (three with king beds, one with twin beds), a living room with fireplace, a kitchen, a terrace with dining for eight and a 42 m² private pool. Sleeps up to eight.
Five-Bedroom Pool Residence
The largest residence: a 47 m² living room with fireplace, a kitchen, a 26 m² main bedroom with its own study-library, three more king bedrooms and a room with a bunk bed, an 89 m² terrace and a 36 m² private pool facing the sea. Sleeps up to ten.
