About this hotel
General information
OKU Bodrum is an intimate adults-only hotel (16 and over) on the northern shore of the Bodrum peninsula. Its 58 rooms and suites step down a hillside above a quiet cove, with mountains on one side and the Aegean on the other. Interiors follow OKU’s recognisable minimalist language of earthy tones, natural textures and plenty of light.
Many rooms open straight onto a shared pool or have a pool of their own, while the main pool sits higher up the slope with wide sea views. Three restaurants, a spa with a hammam, a seafront boardwalk of shaded cabanas and a private jetty for boat trips shape an unhurried, self-contained stay. The hotel opens in season.
Location
The hotel sits at the edge of Küçükbük Bay on the north coast of the Bodrum peninsula, near Gündoğan. Bodrum town and its old harbour are about 45 minutes away by road, Yalıkavak Marina about 20 minutes, and Milas–Bodrum Airport roughly an hour. Private transfers can be arranged from the airport, the marinas and elsewhere on the peninsula, and valet parking is complimentary.
Spa
Set among gardens with sea views, the spa has a traditional Turkish hammam, a sauna, a steam room, a relaxation area and several treatment rooms, and some treatments are given in open-air cabanas beside the water. The menu covers massages, facials and bespoke rituals using sustainably sourced oils, along with private hammam sessions. A hilltop terrace hosts yoga and meditation, with breathwork on the shore at sunrise and sound healing in the evening.
Sports & leisure
The gym spans indoor and outdoor space, with personal training on request. On-site activities include morning yoga on the hill followed by a breakfast picnic, stand-up paddleboarding and a cocktail workshop built around local botanicals picked in the hotel garden. Boats leave the private jetty for quiet lagoons and nearby islands, sunset cruises on a traditional gulet and private evening sails with a chef’s menu on board. On land, the hotel offers olive oil tastings with a local producer, village food and wine days with visits to a vineyard and farms, mountain hiking trails, fishing villages, weaving studios and Hellenistic and Byzantine ruins.
Restaurants & bars
Cooking leans on local, seasonal produce and brings Mediterranean ingredients together with Japanese techniques, with most dishes made for sharing.
- To Kima — all-day poolside restaurant for breakfast, long lunches and sunset sharing plates, Mediterranean cooking with Asian touches
- The Round Bar — bar above the water by the jetty with coastal views: cocktails, local rosé, mezze and light bites through the day
- Teyo — dinner-only signature restaurant serving Japanese cuisine with South American influences, open-air among gardens overlooking the sea, with a private terrace
Swimming
The hotel faces a sheltered cove with clear water. A wooden boardwalk lined with shaded cabanas runs along the shore, and a private jetty serves boat outings. The main pool sits on the hillside above the sea, ground-floor rooms open onto shared pools, and the larger suites have private pools on their terraces.
Pets
Pets are not accepted at the hotel.
