General information
In Thai, Nakamanda means “sacred sea dragon”, a guardian of peace — a fitting name for a resort built around quiet and privacy. Its rooms occupy villas in traditional Thai style, scattered through a dense tropical garden beside the Andaman Sea.
The spa looks out over the garden and the sea, the grounds hold a large outdoor pool and a water sports centre, and guests can go diving, take boat trips or follow walking trails. The restaurants focus on the freshest seafood. Other services include a meeting room, a souvenir shop and boutique, laundry and dry cleaning, and parking.
Location
The resort is on Thailand’s south-west coast in Krabi province, 30 minutes by car from Krabi International Airport.

The spa, with several treatment rooms and views of the garden and sea, offers a range of massage styles and face and body treatments using natural products.
Sports & leisure
Beyond the outdoor pool there is a water sports centre, diving, sailing, boat trips, yoga and walking trails in the surrounding area.
Restaurants & bars
Naga Terrace, the main restaurant, grills the freshest seafood and offers a vegetarian menu, a good drinks list and signature cocktails. Cocktails are also served at The Beach Bar by the shore, while The Living Room suits afternoon tea.

The resort fronts a well-kept sandy beach.

Interiors blend a contemporary look with Thai motifs — wooden floors, teak panelling, comfortable furniture and fine details — and cosy terraces are wrapped in the garden’s greenery.
