General information
Banyan Tree Phuket is a resort of villas set among gardens and coconut palms on Bang Tao Bay, beside long white beaches. Every villa has its own pool, and terraces wrapped in greenery look out over the lagoon and the tropical gardens.
The wellness spa is at the heart of the resort, alongside a yoga studio, a gym, tennis courts, a golf course and water sports and dive centres. Restaurants cover Thai, Mediterranean, Japanese and Italian cuisine. Meeting rooms, a large ballroom and a business centre host events, and the resort arranges weddings and honeymoon programmes. In the restaurants, men are expected to wear trousers (not jeans) and shirts (not T-shirts).
Location
The resort lies on Phuket’s north-west coast on Bang Tao Bay, about 25 minutes by car from Phuket Town and 20 minutes from the international airport.
Spa
The spa offers massage and face and body programmes that blend ancient Eastern traditions with modern Western techniques and natural products.
Sports & leisure
Facilities include a pool, a gym, tennis courts and a golf course, with yoga and meditation classes. The water sports and dive centres hire out equipment, yachts can be chartered for sea cruises, and the resort runs entertainment programmes and excursions.
For children
The kids’ club has indoor and outdoor areas for play and creative activities, and babysitting is available on request.

Dinner can be taken in the resort’s restaurants or on the villa’s own terrace, where barbecues are prepared.

Swimming
A well-kept sandy beach lies next to the resort.

Villas are designed in contemporary Thai style, with natural wood and fabrics, soft lighting, comfortable furniture and panels and decorative pieces by local craftspeople. Terraces set in lush greenery face the lagoon and the tropical gardens.
Villas have air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, internet access, a safe and a minibar, with a hairdryer and bathrobes in the bathroom.
