General information
Kimpton Da An is an intimate boutique hotel set in a quiet lane of Da'an, in the east of Taipei, a block from the main streets and steps from the metro. Its fifteen floors hold 129 rooms and suites, finished in a layered mix of retro touches and white porcelain around a light-filled central atrium.
Life revolves around the lobby living room, with croissants, coffee and tea in the morning and a daily evening wine hour when guests are poured complimentary red and white wine with small bites. On the 12th floor, The Tavernist restaurant opens onto an outdoor terrace looking across the city to Taipei 101. Custom GoChic bicycles are on loan, and pets of every kind are welcome to stay.
Location
The hotel sits in a lane off Ren'ai Road in the Da'an district, a short walk from Zhongxiao Fuxing metro station. The SOGO Fuxing department store is about 0.6 km away, Da'an Forest Park 1.5 km, Yongkang Street 2.3 km, Taipei 101 3.5 km and the National Palace Museum around 10 km. Songshan Airport is 3.2 km away and Taoyuan International Airport about 43 km; there is no hotel shuttle, but a private limousine service is offered.
Sports & leisure
The fitness centre on level 2 is open around the clock, with elliptical machines, a stationary bike, a treadmill and free weights. Custom-designed GoChic bicycles are lent to guests for rides around the city, and the hotel runs cycling and walking programmes for seeing Taipei the local way. Every room has a yoga mat.
Restaurants & bars
The Tavernist, on the 12th floor, cooks modern food built on Taiwanese produce, sourced from organic farms and local producers and shaped by flavours from around the world. It serves daily from 7:00 to 22:00, and its spacious outdoor terrace looks over the city towards Taipei 101. In the lobby living room, the Morning Kick Start runs from 7:00 to 10:30 with croissants or fresh bread, coffee, tea, soy milk, fruit and granola bars, and the evening wine hour follows from 17:30 to 18:30.
Swimming
The hotel has no pool.
Pets
Pets of any species and size stay free of charge and without a deposit: up to two per room, with no weight limit. Pet amenities are limited, so the hotel asks to be told in advance. There is a pet walking area, and The Tavernist prepares dedicated dishes for dogs and cats.

Every room has 400-thread-count linens, a walk-in rain shower, a washlet, an espresso machine, a Chromecast TV with soundbar, a yoga mat, a filtered water dispenser, a stocked minibar, a safe, a hair dryer, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and daily housekeeping.
