Humble House Taipei, Curio Collection by Hilton

About this hotel

General information

Humble House Taipei is a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in Xinyi, the city’s business and shopping district, a short walk from Taipei 101. It was conceived as a home for art and nature, and it doubles as a gallery: more than 600 original works by artists from around the world are placed throughout its lobbies, corridors and public spaces. Interiors are pared back and light-filled, with warm timber and high ceilings, setting Eastern tradition beside Western modernity.

There are 235 rooms and suites. A “garden in the city” idea runs through the building, from the planted seventh-floor terrace with its outdoor pool to the skylit gallery leading to the ballroom. Guests are greeted with a Taiwanese welcome drink, and for celebrations the 702 m² Grand Ballroom on the fifth floor divides into four halls, opening up for events of up to a thousand guests, alongside two function rooms and a VIP room.

Location

The hotel stands on Songgao Road in Xinyi, in the east of Taipei. Taipei 101 is about 0.6 km away, Taipei Dome 1.1 km and Songshan Cultural Park 1.8 km, with large department stores, a multiplex cinema, the Taipei World Trade Center exhibition halls and Linjiang Night Market close by. Songshan Airport is 5 km away and Taoyuan International Airport about 48 km; the hotel does not run an airport shuttle.

Spa

Espace Beauté EB SPA on the seventh floor centres on massage and aromatherapy, working with products from the British brand Aromatherapy Associates and taking its cue from the attentive precision of Japanese service. Treatments are best booked ahead; the spa is closed on Mondays.

Sports & leisure

The fitness centre, spread over the seventh and eighth floors, is open around the clock with modern cardio and strength equipment, and personal trainers can put together an individual programme. It is reserved for hotel guests, who register at the fitness reception first, and children under 16 are not admitted. The seventh floor also holds the outdoor pool and a planted terrace overlooking the city.

Restaurants & bars

A buffet breakfast is served for a fee, and dishes from the room-service menu are brought to the rooms. For banquets and celebration dinners, the hotel’s culinary team prepares Chinese set menus and buffets served in the Grand Ballroom.

Swimming

The 1.15 m-deep outdoor pool sits on the seventh floor within a planted terrace laid with timber decking, looking out over the skyline and Taipei 101. It is open from April to October, 6:00–22:00, and closed from November to March, while the terrace garden stays open all year. The pool is for hotel guests only, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area.

Pets

Pets are not allowed.
