About this hotel
General information
The Lodge is a wooden chalet at around 1,500 metres in Verbier, part of the Virgin Limited Edition collection. It sleeps 18 adults across nine bedrooms — seven rooms and suites plus two master suites — with a separate bunkroom for six children. Everything runs on an all-inclusive basis: meals, drinks and a 24-hour driver within Verbier are part of the stay, and a team of 16 looks after the house.
Most of the time the chalet is taken on an exclusive-use basis by families or groups of friends, though during selected weeks in winter and summer individual rooms can also be booked. The winter season follows the ski lifts, usually from early December to late April; the chalet reopens in July and is normally closed in May and June and from October to early December. Inside are an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a steam room, a gym, a games room and a bar.
Location
The chalet stands in woodland on Chemin de Plénadzeu in Verbier, in the Valais, a five-minute walk from the village centre and 250 m from the Medran lift station. Geneva Airport is about two hours by car, Sion — which takes private aircraft — 45 minutes, and Zurich around three hours. By rail, trains run from Geneva Airport to Martigny or Le Châble, from where a cable car climbs to Verbier; car and helicopter transfers can be arranged.
Spa
There is no dedicated spa, but a full-time therapist offers massages, facials and combination treatments on request, using Comfort Zone products, and children aged 4–12 have gentle treatments of their own. The wellness facilities comprise a 9 m indoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a eucalyptus-infused steam room and a gym.
Sports & leisure
In winter, beyond the pistes, the team arranges snowshoeing, sledging and tandem paragliding flights with views of Mont Blanc. Summer brings hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and riding; Verbier’s golf course sits at 1,600 m and Crans-Montana is about an hour’s drive. Other outings include local vineyard visits and a boat trip on an underground lake. Back at the chalet there is a gym, a games room with a pool table, a private party space and a large screen for films.
For children
Children are welcome on exclusive-use and individual stays alike. Under-12s become ‘Lodge Rangers’ with a welcome backpack and T-shirt, and the team shapes activities around each child: treasure hunts, nature walks, cycling and tennis in summer, sledging and snowmen in winter, pool parties, film nights and a kids’ disco. Staff do not supervise children, so parents are asked to join in; babysitting can be arranged. The Bunkroom sleeps up to six children.
Restaurants & bars
All food and drink is included, cooked in an open kitchen by a team of Michelin-trained chefs. The day starts with an Alpine breakfast, followed by a light lunch for those not eating on the mountain and afternoon tea, then canapés and cocktails before a three-course dinner paired with wines. Menus combine Swiss dishes such as Valais raclette with international cooking and are tailored to each group; meals are served at a long communal table or, in summer, on the terrace. The chalet has its own bar, and the team books tables in Verbier and on the mountain and prepares picnics for summer excursions.
Skiing
The Lodge is a ski-in chalet 250 m from the Medran lift in the Four Valleys, where five resorts across four valleys share a single lift pass, with more than 400 km of pistes, off-piste terrain and heli-skiing. Ski and snowboard equipment is delivered and fitted at the chalet, lift passes are brought to guests, a driver runs them to the lift, and European Snowsport instructors teach every level, with video analysis back at the chalet.
