General information
Park Hotel Vitznau is a white palace of galleries and turrets on the very edge of Lake Lucerne, at the foot of Mount Rigi. Founded by Josef Bon, it was built in 1903 to designs by the architect Karl Koller. Over more than a century it has welcomed many well-known guests, and that history shapes its concept: six galleries are each devoted to a theme, from art and finance to gastronomy and health, and every room takes its character from the gallery it belongs to.
Restaurants holding Michelin stars and Gault&Millau points, six wine cellars with more than 30,000 bottles, a 2,000 m² spa and a large heated pool with lake views complete the picture. Function rooms seat 16–160 guests, and there is a business centre, an art gallery, a boutique, underground parking and a free shuttle to the piers and the Rigi cable car. Weddings are arranged, with dedicated programmes for honeymooners.
Location
On the north shore of Lake Lucerne in the resort village of Vitznau, 800 m from the pier. The Rigi cable car is 13 km away, Lucerne 26 km, Brunnen railway station 15 km and Zurich international airport 70 km.
Spa
The 2,000 m² spa spreads over three floors: a heated 21 × 9 m outdoor pool with lake views, an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor whirlpools, a Finnish sauna, sanarium, steam room, tepidarium, Kneipp foot baths, an ice grotto and a cold-water pool. There is also a gym with a yoga and Pilates studio, a beauty salon, two relaxation rooms, a sunbathing lawn and treatment rooms including a spa suite for couples, with face and body care by La Prairie. A 12-metre saltwater aquarium, home to more than 30 species of fish, fills the spa lobby.
Sports & leisure
Beyond the pools and gym, guests can go cycling, take yachts and motorboats out on the lake, sail and try other water sports, or play badminton, boules and tennis on courts directly opposite the hotel. Cookery classes and excursions are on offer, as is bicycle and sports equipment hire.

Food and wine sit at the heart of the hotel; private dinners can be arranged and there is in-room dining.

The hotel has its own equipped beach on the lake shore.

Junior Suites, Suites and Residences are each designed individually around the theme of their gallery floor: wine and gastronomy, music and theatre, the work of surrealist artist Claude Verlinde, finance and philanthropy. Balconies and terraces look out over Lake Lucerne and Mount Rigi.
