Art Boutique Hotel Monopol

About this hotel

General information

Art Boutique Hotel Monopol opened in December 2007 at the heart of St. Moritz’s pedestrian zone, among designer boutiques and a few steps from the lifts. It is an intimate address that pairs clean contemporary design with a warm Alpine feel, and its public spaces host regular exhibitions of contemporary painting and graphic art by emerging artists.

The Wellavista spa sits on the sixth floor with mountain panoramas, and a sheltered, sunny rooftop terrace has its own bar. There is also a Mediterranean and Italian restaurant, a lounge bar with a cigar room, room service, a concierge, laundry and dry cleaning, free Wi-Fi and a free shuttle to and from the railway station. A meeting room seats up to 30.

Location

The hotel is in the middle of the St. Moritz pedestrian zone, a few minutes’ walk from the lifts and next to the St. Moritz Schulhausplatz bus stop. A free shuttle runs to the railway station.

Spa

Wellavista, on the sixth floor with sweeping mountain views, has a whirlpool, Finnish sauna and bio-sauna, hammam, hydromassage showers, a gym and a treatment area for massages and beauty therapies.

Sports & leisure

The location opens up the full range of Engadine seasons: downhill and cross-country skiing and snowboarding in winter, mountaineering, golf and mountain biking in summer.

Restaurants & bars

The dining offer is compact but carefully judged.

  • Mono — elegant restaurant for Italian and Mediterranean cooking with a considered wine list
  • Lounge bar — aperitifs, digestifs and a cigar room
  • Rooftop bar — sunny, wind-sheltered terrace facing the Engadine peaks, made for après-ski

Room service is also available.

Skiing

The Chantarella funicular, which climbs to the Corviglia ski area, is a three-minute walk from the hotel.

Pets

Pets are accepted for an additional fee.
