About this hotel
General information
LeCrans is a small five-star chalet hotel above the resort of Crans-Montana, set on the Plans-Mayens mountain pasture at the edge of an alpine forest. The site was once the Mont-Blanc Hotel, which grew in the 1960s out of a modest family farm well known across the Valais. In the 2000s the building was entirely rebuilt as a luxury spa hotel while keeping its spirit: antique pine panelling, warm colours and inviting textures.
There are just 16 rooms, suites and apartments, each devoted to a different mountain region of the world, from the Himalayas to Kilimanjaro, and dressed with rare objects and rich wall hangings. The terraces look out over the highest Swiss summits and Mont Blanc. LeCrans is open all year and pairs the Michelin-starred LeMontBlanc restaurant, a wine cellar and a cigar lounge with LeSpa, set at 1,650 m.
Location
The hotel sits at 1,650 m above Crans-Montana in the canton of Valais, on the Plans-Mayens pasture at the forest edge, with the nearest piste 100 m away. It looks across the Swiss Alps to Mont Blanc and lies a few hours’ drive from Geneva.
Spa
LeSpa, at 1,650 m, draws on Eastern and Western wellness traditions alongside newer therapies. Facilities include a heated outdoor pool, an indoor pool, a jacuzzi, a hammam, a sauna and a fitness room, and the menu covers massages, aesthetic treatments such as Hydrafacial and combination therapies. For a deeper reset the hotel runs its own high-altitude Just Be programmes of three, six and eleven days, combining seasonal menus, daily outdoor sessions and signature treatments.
Sports & leisure
A fitness room with treadmill, bike, cross-trainer and free weights sits beside the pool. The concierge arranges activities around Crans-Montana:
- guided walks along the historic bisses, the old irrigation channels
- guided rides and bike hire — 200 km of road routes, 177 marked mountain-bike trails, three downhill tracks and e-bike routes
- golf in Crans-Montana, including the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club
