About this hotel
General information
Chenot Palace Weggis is the Chenot Group’s health retreat, set on the shore of Lake Lucerne in Weggis, facing Mount Rigi and Pilatus. It is the home of the Chenot Method, which combines modern medical diagnostics, detoxification and principles of traditional Chinese medicine. A turn-of-the-century palace and a contemporary building hold 97 rooms and suites and a 5,000 m² medical spa, staffed by more than 100 doctors and wellness specialists.
The hotel accepts only guests following a Chenot programme of at least seven nights: Advanced Detox, Recover & Energise, Prevention & Ageing Well, Sleep Cycles or Body Insights & Optimisation. Each is tailored after a medical consultation and a screening of Chenot Lifestyle Biomarkers. English is the working language, and the restaurant, spa, medical areas and pool are phone-free zones.
Location
The hotel stands on the shore of Lake Lucerne in Weggis, roughly 45–50 minutes by car from Zurich airport; the concierge arranges transfers from Zurich and Basel. Guests can also take the boat from Lucerne to Weggis or the train to Küssnacht am Rigi, with a free shuttle from either on request.
Spa
The 5,000 m² medical spa is organised into departments: medical, hydrotherapy, aesthetic, human performance, medical aesthetic, and sports and fitness. Signature treatments include hydro-aromatherapy baths with Chenot elixirs, white and green clay body wraps, the hydro-jet and an energy massage with cupping. Diagnostics and recovery draw on a metabolic and sports laboratory, epigenetic testing, a bio-energetic check-up with acupuncture, a whole-body cryochamber at −110 °C, an altitude chamber simulating up to 3,000 m and anti-gravity training equipment; there is also a hammam and a sauna.
Sports & leisure
Facilities include a 20-metre indoor pool, a fitness centre with cardio, strength and stretching areas, a yoga studio and personal training. Free group classes such as yoga, aqua therapy and stretching run daily. Tennis, walks and guided hikes are offered, the surroundings suit jogging and mountain biking, and the lake is used for swimming all year round.
For children
Teenagers aged 16 to 18 may follow a Chenot programme when accompanied by a parent. Children up to 10 can stay at the hotel only with a nanny.
Restaurants & bars
Meals follow the Chenot Diet: three plant-based, reduced-calorie meals a day are served in the Dining Room, which looks over the lake and gardens. The Tea Lounge, with the same outlook, serves Chenot herbal teas.
Swimming
The hotel has a private lakefront beach on Lake Lucerne, used for swimming in every season.
Pets
Only small dogs (up to 30 cm tall) are accepted, one per room and for a fee. They stay in designated Classic rooms on the first floor of La Grande Maison with direct meadow access, and are not allowed in the restaurant, Tea Lounge, spa and medical areas, pool or beach.
