Le Chalet d’Adrien

About this hotel

General information

A member of Relais & Châteaux, Chalet d’Adrien stands in Verbier, one of the most beautiful and extensive ski areas in Europe. It has two clear advantages: sweeping views of the Alps, with the Grand Combin (4,314 m) and Mont Vélan (3,734 m) on the horizon, and ski lifts just a few steps away. The atmosphere of a traditional Alpine chalet and classic Swiss hospitality suit active holidays and quiet days in the mountains equally well.

The chalet has three restaurants and a bar with an open fire, a spa with heated outdoor and indoor pools, hammam, Jacuzzi and gym, and a children’s playground. Around it lies everything Verbier is known for: downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, paragliding, hiking and cycling trails, riding and golf.

Location

The chalet is in Verbier, about 1.5 hours by road from Geneva and Bern, 3 hours from Zurich and 45 minutes from Sion airport.

Spa

The spa has heated outdoor and indoor pools, a hammam, Jacuzzi and gym. Treatments include a range of massages, balneotherapy, and face and body care with Hormeta products.

Sports & leisure

Winter options include downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, skating, sledging, hot-air ballooning, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and paragliding; summer brings riding, mountain hiking and mountain biking. Verbier also has golf courses.

For children

Younger guests have a playground, sports and entertainment programmes, video games and table football.

Restaurants & bars

Three restaurants cover French gastronomy and the cooking of Switzerland’s regions.

  • Terrace — French gastronomic cuisine with mountain views
  • Le Grenier — traditional Swiss cuisine
  • Table d’Adrien — dishes from other Swiss regions, France and Italy
  • Bar — a fireside lounge for relaxed evenings
Skiing

The chalet is 30 m from the lifts.

Pets

Pets are welcome.

Rooms

The chalet has 29 rooms, including suites and the Orchis apartment, each individually decorated and named after an Alpine flower. Natural wood, carefully chosen fabrics, period-style furniture and fireplaces set a warm tone, and most rooms have a south-facing balcony looking towards the Alps.

Apartment

The Orchis apartment sits on the chalet’s top floor with views of the peaks: a dining room with kitchen, a large living room, a master bedroom with dressing room and bathroom, a children’s room with dressing room and TV, and the Joubarbe bedroom with its own bathroom and large walk-in shower. Suited to two couples with two young children; the Potentille attic room on the same floor can be added.
