About this hotel
General information
Four Seasons Hotel Madrid brings together seven historic buildings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries within Centro Canalejas, at the very heart of the city. Banks once occupied these addresses, and more than 3,700 original features survive: stone floors, fireplaces, brass door pulls, teller counters, stained glass and green marble columns with gilded tops. Nearly 1,500 artworks, from classics to contemporary Spanish pieces, hang in the public spaces, restaurants and spa.
The old buildings give many of the 200 rooms and suites one-of-a-kind layouts. Dani Brasserie occupies the seventh-floor rooftop, El Patio fills the former bank courtyard, and a four-level spa centres on a sky-lit indoor pool. Two ballrooms, four function rooms and an open-air courtyard host events, and the hotel connects directly to the Galería Canalejas luxury shopping arcade.
Location
The hotel sits within Centro Canalejas, steps from Puerta del Sol, with Plaza Mayor and the Prado Museum close by. Madrid–Barajas airport is about 15 km away; transfers and car hire can be arranged.
Spa
The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid spans four floors and 1,450 m². It has eight treatment rooms, one of them for couples, a relaxation room, sauna, steam room and hydro pool, while the 14-metre pool, with glass walls and a full-length skylight, opens onto an eighth-floor sun terrace overlooking the city centre. Treatments include massages, facials, Natura Bissé rituals and nail care, and the Rossano Ferretti Hairspa is on the fifth floor. The pool is for guests aged 12 and over, except during dedicated family hours.
Sports & leisure
The 24-hour fitness centre, with panoramic views over Madrid, has cardio and strength equipment, and yoga sessions are offered. The concierge arranges historical walking tours, chauffeured trips to Toledo, flamenco lessons, cooking classes and wine tastings.
For children
Families get the Kids Passport programme, family hours at the spa pool and complimentary cribs, rollaway beds, bed guards, bottle sterilisers, high chairs and baby baths. An in-room play tent, babysitting and child-friendly outings such as a Prado Museum tour can be arranged.
Restaurants & bars
Three venues and 24-hour in-room dining:
- Dani Brasserie — Spanish and international cooking by chef Dani García on the seventh-floor rooftop terrace, with Sunday brunch
- Isa Restaurant & Cocktail Bar — modern Asian street food, signature cocktails, sake and wine
- El Patio — lobby bar in the bank’s former operations courtyard: traditional Spanish tapas, classic dishes, house pastries and vermouth from the cask
