General information
METT Barcelona sits high on the slopes of Tibidabo, with the whole of Barcelona spread out below and the Mediterranean running to the horizon beyond it. The hotel occupies a historic building dating from 1925, belongs to METT Hotels & Resorts and is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. With just 70 rooms and suites, it keeps an intimate scale despite the city at its feet.
Interiors are pared back and calm, built on clean lines, neutral tones, natural materials and plenty of daylight. Life outdoors centres on terraces and pools that look across the skyline. Guests have the Mediterranean restaurant Albarada, a tapas-and-vermouth bar, a lounge styled with Lladró porcelain, a pool club and a Valmont spa with an indoor pool. A complimentary shuttle links the hotel with Passeig de Gràcia.
Location
The hotel stands on the Carretera de Vallvidrera al Tibidabo, on Tibidabo hill above Barcelona, looking out over the city and the sea. A complimentary shuttle runs between the hotel and Passeig de Gràcia in both directions, and paid parking is available for guests arriving by car.
Spa
Valmont Spa – Red Carpet Experience works with the Swiss skincare house Valmont and its cellular formulas. Therapists tailor each treatment to the guest, from facials and massages to wellness rituals. Afterwards the hydrotherapy area offers a 112 m² indoor pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a hammam. The adjoining gym is equipped by Technogym for cardio, strength and functional training, with free weights and resistance machines.

Dining leans on local produce and Catalan tradition, and most of the rooms and terraces look out over the city.

Swimming
There is no beach. The heated outdoor pool at The Pool Club is lined with sun loungers and overlooks Barcelona, and the spa has a 112 m² indoor pool with a jacuzzi.
Pets
Under The METT Way Puppy Program the hotel welcomes dogs up to 8 kg (its pet policy also admits cats up to 8 kg), one pet per room. Pets stay only in the Deluxe Terrace Room and Sea View Studio Terrace Suite categories, which have terraces; they remain in the room, and in shared areas travel in a hotel-provided trolley or a carrier, or are held. Pets may be left alone only when crated, and a daily cleaning fee applies.
Rooms
The hotel has 70 rooms and suites across three room categories and eight suite categories, some with terraces and the largest with private plunge pools. Interiors are minimalist, in neutral tones and natural materials, with large windows facing the city, the mountains or the sea.
Every room has a maxi bar corner stocked with drinks and snacks, a minibar, tea and coffee facilities, a safe, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, and vegan Botanyc bath products made on the French Riviera.
Deluxe Room
A mountain-facing room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a king-size bed or two twins, a work desk and a maxi bar corner. Two adults.
Sea View Deluxe Room
A room looking over the sea and the Barcelona skyline, with a king-size bed or two twins and a maxi bar corner. Two adults.
Deluxe Terrace Room
A room with a private terrace facing the sea and the city, a king-size bed or two twins and a maxi bar corner. Two adults; pets up to 8 kg are welcome.
Junior Suite
An open-plan, mountain-facing suite with a king-size bed, a lounge area and a maxi bar corner. Up to three adults.
Sea View Junior Suite
A suite facing the Mediterranean, with city and coastal views, a king-size bed, a lounge area and a maxi bar corner; each suite in the category frames the sea from a different angle. Up to three adults.
Sea View Studio Terrace Suite
An open-plan loft with a king-size bed, a living area and a private terrace looking over the sea, the pool and the skyline. Up to three adults; pets up to 8 kg are welcome.
Suite
A suite with a separate living room, a king-size bed, a maxi bar corner and large windows onto the city. Up to three adults.
Sea View Suite
A suite with a separate living room, a king-size bed and floor-to-ceiling windows framing the sea. Up to three adults.
Duplex Suite
A two-level suite: a bedroom below with a king-size bed and city views from the pillow, and a living area above with a maxi bar corner. The bathroom has a double vanity, a walk-in rain shower and a bathtub placed for skyline views. Up to three adults.
Sea View Signature Suite with Plunge Pool
A suite with a private plunge pool, a separate living room, a king-size bed and views of the sea or the mountains. Up to three adults.
METT Suite
The largest suite joins a Sea View Suite with a Signature Suite and its private plunge pool: bedrooms with king-size beds, a separate living room, an oversized bathroom and sea views. Up to four adults.
