General information
Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona occupies one of the best-known buildings on Passeig de Gràcia, the city's grand boulevard, a block from Gaudí's Casa Milà. It has welcomed guests since 1918, when the avenue was just becoming Barcelona's most prestigious address, and over the following century it witnessed many of the city's political and cultural turning points; during the Spanish Civil War it served as a gathering place for foreign correspondents. Still family-run, it keeps a classic international style and belongs to The Leading Hotels of the World.
The Majestic is known as the hotel of the arts: a private collection of more than a thousand works hangs in its halls, corridors and rooms, from the avant-garde of Antoni Tàpies, Eduardo Chillida and Antonio Saura to Jaume Plensa, Anish Kapoor and Richard Long. The rooftop terrace, La Dolce Vitae, has a plunge pool and city panoramas, a wellness area with a heated pool lies below ground, and the spa occupies the top floor. Beyond its rooms and suites, the hotel also offers apartments in a separate building across the avenue.
Location
The hotel stands at Passeig de Gràcia 68–70 in the Eixample district of central Barcelona, among fashion houses and modernist façades. Casa Milà (La Pedrera) is a block away, and Casa Batlló and the Sagrada Família are within walking distance. Barcelona–El Prat Airport is about 25 minutes by car; private transfers can be arranged by the hotel, and penthouse stays include a chauffeured car to or from the airport or railway station.
Spa
The spa sits on the tenth and highest floor, with treatment rooms, a beauty area and a hydrotherapy zone with a jet whirlpool for legs and lower back, a hammam, a dry sauna and a sensory shower. The menu covers personalised face and body treatments, VIP packages and rituals for couples and groups. Hotel guests may book one private hydrotherapy session per stay. On floor −1, the wellness area has a 12-metre heated pool, a 20 m² hydromassage pool with jetted loungers, a water cannon for neck tension, a footbath and a relaxation room; guests of the hotel and apartments use it free of charge for up to an hour a day, without booking.

For children
Young guests are greeted with personalised gifts and small amenities on arrival. Cots for children under three are free on request, as are extra beds for children under 12. Families can choose the Privilege Family Room or connect rooms to sleep four to eight. Children aged 2–16 may use the wellness area with an adult during set afternoon hours, and the Sunday brunch at SOLC has a dedicated Kid Majestic Area.
Restaurants & bars
The kitchens follow Mediterranean tradition and local sourcing, with vegetables picked daily on the hotel's own farm in the Maresme and fish from Barcelona's market.

Swimming
As a city hotel, the Majestic offers pools rather than a beach. The La Dolce Vitae rooftop has an unheated open-air plunge pool reserved for hotel guests, with views across Barcelona. For year-round swimming there is the 12-metre heated pool in the wellness area on floor −1, alongside a 20 m² hydromassage pool.
Pets
Dogs up to 8 kg are welcome on prior request for a daily supplement, one per room. They find a bed and welcome treats in the room and may join their owners in El Bar del Majestic and on the La Dolce Vitae terrace. Cats and other animals are not accepted.
Rooms
Deluxe and Privilege rooms, junior suites, suites and two kinds of penthouse share warm neutral tones and white marble bathrooms, many of them facing Passeig de Gràcia. Apartments with one, two or four bedrooms occupy a separate building at Passeig de Gràcia 69, opposite the hotel, with daily basic housekeeping.
Rooms have free Wi-Fi, a smart TV with Chromecast, air conditioning and heating, an espresso machine, bathrobes and slippers, an iron and ironing board and a marble bathroom, with evening turndown and 24-hour room service.

Penthouse Suite
A ninth-floor penthouse with a living room and desk, a bedroom with king-size or twin beds, a marble bathroom and a large terrace facing the Sagrada Família or Passeig de Gràcia. For two guests, with a chauffeured airport or station transfer included.
Majestic Royal Penthouse
The hotel's largest space, with a living room, dining room, bar and two or three bedrooms, and wide terraces with a solarium overlooking Passeig de Gràcia and the Sagrada Família. Sleeps up to six, with a butler and a chauffeured luxury car throughout the stay.
