Hotel Casa Fuster

About this hotel

General information

Hotel Casa Fuster occupies one of Barcelona’s most striking modernista buildings. Lluís Domènech i Montaner designed it as a house a wealthy patron gave to his wife, and its white marble façade and costly materials long made it known as the most expensive house in the city. Its three richly detailed façades still define the upper end of Passeig de Gràcia.

Carefully restored, the building now holds 105 rooms and suites, where the original architecture meets classic interiors in warm tones. Aleia restaurant is on the first floor, the historic Café Vienés turns into a jazz club every Thursday evening, and the Mirador rooftop terrace adds a pool and city views. Function rooms and the terrace itself host weddings, banquets and meetings.

Location

The hotel stands at Passeig de Gràcia 132, on Barcelona’s grand shopping and architecture boulevard. Barcelona–El Prat airport is about 25 minutes by car; private transfers can be arranged.

Spa

Wellness is intimate: massages tailored to each guest by appointment, a Finnish sauna (booking required) and a hair and beauty salon with stylists and make-up artists.

Sports & leisure

The rooftop has an outdoor pool and sun terrace, open from March to November, weather permitting. The 24-hour gym is complimentary for guests, alongside the Finnish sauna. The concierge arranges cultural programmes and city itineraries.

Restaurants & bars

Dining centres on three spaces:

  • Aleia — contemporary seasonal cuisine, served as tasting menus only
  • Café Vienés — a historic café with tall windows onto Passeig de Gràcia: coffee, tea, light dishes and cocktails, with live jazz on Thursday evenings
  • Mirador — rooftop terrace for cocktails and dining, looking over Passeig de Gràcia to Tibidabo

In-room dining is available around the clock.
