General information
Hotel Suite Villa María is a five-star hotel in La Caleta, in the Adeje municipality of southern Tenerife, made up not of blocks but of 78 detached two-storey villas. They step down a hillside in terraces among well-kept gardens, looking out over the Atlantic and the adjacent golf course. The land was once given over to banana plantations, and the greenery around the resort still recalls that rural landscape.
The villas draw on traditional Canarian architecture and décor, blended with modern comfort. Each is laid out like a small house of its own, with a kitchen, a living room and a garden, while the hotel side — a 24-hour reception, concierge, daily housekeeping and room service — is arranged so that guests rarely need to leave their own space. Day to day, the hotel relies on local produce, heats its pools with renewable energy and waters its gardens with recycled water.
Location
The hotel lies in La Caleta, a former fishing village on Tenerife's south-west coast in the Adeje municipality, known for its seafood restaurants by the water and its views of La Gomera. The coast, with its small coves and beaches, is less than a kilometre away; Golf Los Lagos is reached directly from the hotel and Golf Costa Adeje is about 5 minutes away. Guests have covered parking and transfers to nearby areas, including the golf club.
Spa
The Naiad wellness centre is a small spa with a thermal circuit that can also be booked for private use. Its therapists work with essential oils and natural products, all of them natural, organic or vegan; the menu includes rituals for couples, and beauty and wellness treatments can also be arranged in the villa.
Sports & leisure
Two Golf Costa Adeje courses surround the resort: the nine-hole Golf Los Lagos, laid out around six lakes and reached directly from the hotel, and the 18-hole championship course with sea views. Hotel guests can book a block of morning tee times that is held for them and available only through the hotel, and the concierge books green fees.
- Water activities on the La Caleta coast, less than a kilometre away, with a partner freediving centre: boat trips, diving, kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding and snorkelling.
- Swimming and surfing lessons and personal training with a partner water-sports school.
- Road, mountain, gravel and electric bike hire through the hotel's partner, with help planning routes.
- A sports centre opposite the hotel with a 50-metre pool, a gym, football pitches and padel courts.
- Walks through the resort's gardens and the volcanic landscape around them.
For children
The Pispita kids' club takes children aged 4–12 for games and activities in a safe setting. There is a children's playground on site, and babysitting can be arranged on request.
Restaurants & bars
The kitchen pairs traditional Canarian flavours with a modern touch and builds on local, seasonal produce — fish and seafood from the surrounding waters and the island's farms. La Torre Restaurant serves an à la carte menu alongside a wide wine list, while the Blue Oasis Pool Bar by the main pool is the casual option for snacks, creative plates and a finger-food menu for poolside days. Breakfast brings seasonal fruit, eggs cooked to order, cheeses and pastries, and any meal can be brought to the villa.
Swimming
The resort has several shared pools heated with renewable energy, the main one with its own bar; the three-bedroom villas and the Bellavista Villa have private pools. The coves and turquoise-water beaches of the La Caleta coast are less than a kilometre's walk away.
Pets
Dogs weighing up to 10 kg are welcome for a daily supplement.
Rooms
The 78 two-storey villas have one to three bedrooms, a private garden and a kitchen; the stand-alone Bellavista Villa adds its own pool and a broad garden solarium.
Each villa has a kitchen with a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge and coffee maker, a living room with a sofa and satellite TV, a terrace or garden with sun loungers, air conditioning, a safe, Wi-Fi, a pillow menu, a bathtub and separate shower, bathrobes and slippers.

A two-storey villa looking towards the pools and the ocean, with a living room, kitchen and guest toilet downstairs and a twin bedroom with a bathtub and shower upstairs; a private garden for sunbathing. For two adults and a child, or three adults with an extra bed.

Three-Bedroom Villa with private pool
Set on the resort's first terrace with views over Golf Los Lagos and the sea: two bedrooms and a living room with kitchen downstairs, a third bedroom upstairs and a private pool in the garden. Sleeps up to six.
Bellavista Villa
A stand-alone villa with a large garden solarium overlooking the golf course and La Caleta bay, a private heated pool, an outdoor hydromassage bathtub for six and Balinese beds. Sleeps up to six.
