General information
Europe Villa Cortés sits right above the ocean on the Golden Mile of Playa de las Américas, on Tenerife’s southern coast. Classified five-star Gran Lujo, it stands apart from its surroundings: hacienda-style buildings in the Mexican manner frame gardens of subtropical plants, and the interiors take their cue from Mexican culture.
There are 151 rooms and suites, many of them facing the Atlantic and the island of La Gomera, behind which the sun sets each evening. Food carries real weight here, from tasting-menu dinners at Taste 1973 and Mediterranean cooking at Tiziano to the hotel’s own OA Beach Club on the shoreline. The XOAM spa with its thermal area, a tennis court and a gym complete the picture, and there are dedicated spaces, the beach among them, for weddings and private celebrations.
Location
The hotel stands on Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina in Playa de las Américas (Arona municipality), on the seafront of the Golden Mile. El Camisón beach is about 500 m away, a shopping centre 300 m, a bus stop 150 m and a taxi rank 200 m. Tenerife South Airport is 17 km away and Tenerife North Airport 80 km; the way in is by taxi or hire car, which can also be arranged at the hotel. Guests have paid private parking, with free public parking nearby.
Spa
XOAM Spa & Wellness is a small, intimate spa built around a water area: a hydromassage pool, a jacuzzi, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, a Moroccan hammam, waterfalls and jets, an experience shower and a relaxation area. The thermal circuit can be booked alone or as a couple with a massage. The menu runs from relaxing and targeted massages to techniques from around the world (Thai, shiatsu, lomi lomi, bamboo), face and body rituals such as the Indian Ritual, Chakra Balance and Queen of the Nile, beauty treatments and a hairdresser.

The restaurants open in rotation, so that guests can try different kitchens over several evenings:
- Taste 1973 — signature cooking built on Canarian produce, two tasting menus with optional wine pairing; for guests aged 12 and over
- Tiziano — contemporary Mediterranean dinners à la carte, classic recipes reworked and an extensive wine list
- OA Beach Club — a beachfront restaurant facing the Atlantic: sea-inspired dishes, Canarian food and small plates, vegetarian and vegan options, Canary Island wines
- Veracruz — breakfast buffet with live cooking stations
- Maui Bar — cocktails and light snacks by the pool
- Lobby Bar — cocktails in an elegant setting

Swimming
The grounds have an outdoor adults’ pool and a children’s pool. On the shore, OA Beach Club has a natural seawater pool, sun loungers, Balinese beds and open-air sofas. The nearest beach, El Camisón, is about 500 m away.
Rooms
The 151 rooms and suites are decorated in a Mexican style; most have a terrace or balcony over the garden or the Atlantic, and the two presidential suites each spread over two levels.

A suite with a separate living room, a king-size bed and a terrace with sun loungers looking out to the neighbouring islands; evening turndown; up to two adults and two children or three adults.
Hernán Cortés Presidential Suite
A two-level presidential suite on the fifth floor with living and dining rooms, two bathrooms and two large terraces with a Balinese bed, a sun deck and a hydromassage bath, and open views of La Gomera; up to five guests, on request.
Moctezuma Presidential Suite
A two-level presidential suite with three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a fitted kitchen, living and dining rooms and three terraces with a Balinese bed and sun loungers, looking towards La Gomera; for 6–8 guests, on request.
