General information
1881 Tenerife Madrigueras Golf Hotel is a small five-star, adults-only hotel in the south of Tenerife, set right on the edge of the Golf Las Américas course. It has 57 rooms and suites, many of them looking out over the fairways or the palm-shaded garden pool. The mood is quiet and unhurried, with the emphasis on privacy, comfort and attentive service rather than resort bustle.
Golf sets the tone: every room comes with its own complimentary GPS golf buggy, and staff take care of tee-time bookings and equipment storage. The rest of the day can be filled with a spa built around an indoor pool and water circuit, two restaurants and an English-style bar with a billiards room. Room service and reception run around the clock, and there is parking with electric-vehicle charging points.
Location
The hotel stands on Calle Meandro in Playa de las Américas, in the municipality of Arona in southern Tenerife, with direct access to Golf Las Américas. The beaches of the south coast, the seafront promenade, restaurants and shops are a few minutes away, and Tenerife South Airport is about 15 minutes by road. The hotel can arrange an airport transfer through an outside service at an extra charge; Costa Adeje and La Caleta lie close by, while Teide National Park and its volcanic landscapes rise inland.
Spa
The Spa centres on a water circuit: a heated indoor pool, whirlpool bath, Turkish bath, sauna, cold plunge pool, heated ceramic bench and sensory showers. Two treatment rooms are given over to massages and therapies, charged separately, and a fully equipped gym sits alongside.
Sports & leisure
Golf Las Américas begins at the hotel's doorstep. Guests have buggy service, equipment lockers, advance tee-time booking through the hotel or directly with the club, preferential green-fee and buggy rates, and morning tee times reserved for the hotel. The spa gym covers training, and the Piano Bar & Lounge has a billiards room and a games lounge for the evenings.
Restaurants & bars
Two restaurants and a bar cover breakfast, lunch and dinner, and room service is available around the clock:
- Bogey Restaurant — buffet breakfast with à la carte extras, and an à la carte dinner in an intimate setting
- Belle Vue — Mediterranean-inspired lunches in a calm, light-filled room
- Piano Bar & Lounge — English-style bar with indoor and outdoor seating, a billiards room and a games lounge
Swimming
The adults-only outdoor pool is ringed by gardens, palms and loungers with parasols, with showers, changing rooms and a classic-style pergola beside it. The spa adds a heated indoor pool. There is no beach of the hotel's own, but the beaches of the south coast are a few minutes away.
Rooms
There are 57 rooms and suites in six categories, from Superior rooms of 50–60 m² to two-level and golf-front suites of around 150 m², many overlooking the course or the pool. Each has its own terrace and a complimentary GPS golf buggy assigned to it.
Every room has hardwood floors, a classic-style desk, a kettle and Nespresso machine, free Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a safe, bathrobes and slippers, toiletries, a hairdryer, a minibar and air conditioning.
Superior Double Room
A spacious room with a large terrace over Golf Las Américas and a bathroom with bath or shower; king-size or twin beds, for two adults.
Junior Suite
A junior suite with a living area open to the bedroom, a private terrace and a bathroom with bath; king-size or twin beds.
Royal Suite
A two-bedroom suite with a generous living area, private terrace, an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and a separate guest bathroom; for up to four adults.
Duplex Suite
A suite on two levels, with the living room downstairs, a large terrace over Golf Las Américas, a bathroom with separate shower and a guest bathroom; king-size or twin beds, for two adults.
Hole in One Suite
A suite with living and dining areas, two walk-in wardrobes, two bathrooms and a guest bathroom; its large private terrace faces the fourth-hole green, and a private entrance opens straight onto the course.
