Hospes Palacio de los Patos

About this hotel

General information

Hospes Palacio de los Patos is a five-star hotel in the very centre of Granada, where two buildings from different eras stand side by side. Behind a neoclassical 19th-century façade, listed as a Site of Cultural Interest, are a palace of mosaic floors, painted ceilings and a monumental staircase, and the contemporary Alabastro Building in glass and alabaster.

An Arabian-inspired garden with water features links the two, with the Bodyna spa set beneath it. Interiors work in warm, neutral tones, with tactile fabrics, sculptural lighting and quiet nods to the city’s Moorish heritage. A private art collection runs through the house — works by Lucio Muñoz, Christopher Wool, Eduardo Arroyo and others hang in the reception, library, restaurant, lounges and rooms.

Location

The hotel stands at Solarillo de Gracia 1, in the heart of Granada and close to its main sights — the Alhambra, the Albaicín quarter, the cathedral and the Abbey of Sacromonte. It is easily reached by car from the A-92 and N-323; the hotel’s own parking is limited.

Spa

Bodyna Natural Care Spa lies beneath the Arabian garden, all soft filtered light, marble and mineral textures. It has a sauna, Turkish bath and a thermal pool with jets, and its treatment rooms offer massages, facials, body scrubs, manicures and pedicures using Cinq Mondes products. Spa access is complimentary for hotel guests.

Sports & leisure

Leisure here is calm and cultural: the spa with its thermal pool, a library and lounges hung with modern Spanish and international art, and a garden and terraces for unhurried brunches. The hotel makes an easy base for exploring Nasrid and Renaissance Granada, and its function rooms and flexible spaces host meetings and private celebrations.

Restaurants & bars

Dining is rooted in Andalusian cooking and local produce:

  • Los Patos Restaurant — seasonal Andalusian cuisine with Mediterranean touches, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Los Patos Terrace — a garden terrace for tapas, cocktails and brunch outdoors
  • Bar — drinks among bespoke furniture designed for the hotel

Gluten-free dishes are prepared on request, and breakfast can be served in the room.

Swimming

Swimming is limited to the indoor thermal relaxation pool with jets in the Bodyna spa.

Pets

Dogs are welcome at the hotel.
