Parnas Hotel Jeju

About this hotel

General information

Parnas Hotel Jeju sits in the Jungmun resort area on the south coast of Jeju Island, facing the open sea. The hotel is split between an east and a west wing, and every room and suite has its own terrace. At its heart is a light-filled atrium 30 metres high, while the entrance carries the hotel's own scent: bergamot, mint and clary sage over amber, musk and teak.

The resort's centrepiece is the Estuary pool, a 110-metre infinity pool heated all year that appears to run straight into the sea. This is a large family resort, with a separate children's pool, a family lounge with a play area, a club lounge for club suite guests and a spa, while the kitchens build their menus around fresh produce from the island.

Location

The hotel stands in the Jungmun resort area of Seogwipo, on Jeju Island's south coast. Jeju International Airport is about 50 km away, roughly 50 minutes by taxi; airport limousine buses No. 600 and 601 also stop at the main entrance. The hotel does not run its own transfers, and parking is free for guests.

Spa

Vonestis Spa covers about 350 m² on the third floor of the west wing. It has a private spa lounge, couples' suites with sea views, a dedicated head-spa zone and a skincare boutique; treatments use only products from the Korean brand Vonestis.

Sports & leisure

The Fitness Cube gym is equipped by Technogym (guests aged 17 and over), with sportswear and trainers available to borrow and a Gym in a Bag kit for working out in the room. Adult guests can join a complimentary morning restorative yoga class with aromatic oils. The unusual Estuary Sound Therapy lets swimmers listen to recordings of Jeju's natural sounds underwater through bone-conduction headphones, with a separate version for expectant mothers.

For children

The family lounge in the west wing pairs a sea-view sitting area with a colourful children's space for reading, play and craft classes such as clay photo-frame making and canvas painting (ages 4 and up). On the same floor, the Prm & Kinder kids' club runs play-based English sessions with foreign teachers for preschoolers aged 4–8.

Restaurants & bars

Most of the hotel's restaurants and bars look out to sea:

  • Confetti — all-day restaurant with sea views: breakfast and buffets built on seasonal island produce, plus an à la carte menu from midday
  • Fondmer Lounge — café in the 30-metre atrium: locally roasted coffee, teas, pastries, cakes and afternoon tea
  • Fondmer Bar — craft beer, signature cocktails and snacks made with seasonal ingredients
  • Bar Le — poolside bar beside the Estuary pool, mixing cocktails with Jeju ingredients
  • Irony Ivory — brunch and bakery: salads, pasta, lasagne, clam chowder and desserts
  • In-room dining — dishes made with fresh Jeju produce
Swimming

The outdoor Estuary pool is a 110-metre infinity pool heated year-round, with a hot tub, sun loungers and day beds and cabanas to hire. Indoors there is a 20-metre pool and a 60 cm-deep children's pool. The pools are reserved for hotel guests.
