About this hotel
General information
Josun Palace is the luxury hotel of Josun Hotels & Resorts in the business heart of Gangnam and a member of The Luxury Collection. It carries on the hospitality tradition of the original Josun Hotel, one of the first luxury hotels in Korea, and retells it in an art deco idiom, pairing timeless classic interiors with present-day comfort and a palace mood with a high-rise setting. The hotel occupies the upper floors of the Center Field West tower, and the rooms look out over the city.
There are 254 rooms and suites. Arrivals are received at the Grand Reception on the 25th floor, a check-in hall reserved for staying guests with coffee and cookies served through the afternoon. The hotel has its own scent, Eternal Memory, smart controls for humidity, temperature and air purity in every room, and a digital concierge whose orders are delivered by robot. Its own art collection is shown to guests on concierge-led tours of ten selected works.
Location
The hotel stands in Gangnam, Seoul, in the Center Field West tower at 231 Teheran-ro; Yeoksam station on subway line 2 is about a 10-minute walk away. Incheon International Airport is around 90 minutes by taxi, or by airport bus with a stop by the hotel, and Gimpo Airport about 60 minutes by taxi or subway. Private limousine transfers to and from the airport are arranged on request, and parking is complimentary for staying guests.
Spa
There is no separate spa, but the Josun Wellness Club on the 26th floor has a sauna with dry and steam rooms, hot and cold baths and individual shower booths. Body scrubs and massages run from 40 to 90 minutes, alongside the house Kinetic Bodywork therapy for physical recovery in 50-, 80- or 110-minute sessions.
Sports & leisure
The Josun Wellness Club on the 26th floor keeps a healthy routine within reach:
- a 24-hour gym with Gangnam views, around 40 up-to-date machines and a cardio zone; workout clothes and shoes are lent on site
- one-to-one sessions with a trainer: conditioning, yoga, swimming, golf, boxing, taekwondo and recovery stretching
- a pilates studio with tailored programmes on modern equipment and music-led classes (by reservation)
- a 25-metre indoor pool and a sauna
- concierge-led tours of the hotel's art collection for staying guests, three times a week in groups of up to five
- a business centre on the 25th floor with two meeting rooms
Restaurants & bars
The restaurants and bar are on the 24th and 36th floors:
- Constans — a buffet with dishes cooked to order, seafood and a long wine list; breakfast, lunch and dinner
- 1914 Lounge & Bar — a lounge under a 9-metre ceiling, with afternoon tea by day and cocktails, whisky, vintage champagne and live performances in the evening
- Eatanic Garden — a contemporary reading of Korean cuisine on the 36th floor
- The Great Hong Yuan — Chinese fine dining on the 36th floor
- Josun Deli The Boutique — a bakery and patisserie using local ingredients, with sweet gifts to take away
- 24-hour in-room dining
Swimming
The Josun Wellness Club's indoor pool on the 26th floor is 25 metres long and 1.3 metres deep, with the Gangnam skyline beyond the windows. A shallow toddler pool sits alongside, and towels, robes and swimming caps are provided.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in standard rooms or public areas, only in designated rooms set aside for guests travelling with animals. Certified assistance dogs are the exception.
Rooms
The 254 rooms and suites occupy floors 27 to 35 and are styled in art deco, with floor-to-ceiling windows and city views. From the Grand Masters category upwards, breakfast at Constans and an evening offering at the Grand Reception or 1914 Lounge & Bar are included.
Frette linen with goose-down pillows and duvet, a marble bathroom with bathtub, separate shower and bidet, Byredo toiletries, a Nespresso machine, complimentary tea and water, minibar, tablet, TV, Bluetooth speaker, steam clothes-care cabinet, safe and free Wi-Fi.
State Room
The hotel's signature room, with a king-size bed, a writing desk and city views. Sleeps two adults.
Masters Room
A bright room with a work desk and city views, available with one king-size bed or two queen-size beds. Sleeps up to three adults.
Grand Masters Room
A large bathroom and a separate powder room, on a floor accessible to staying guests only; a king-size bed with a sofa bed, or two queen-size beds. Sleeps up to three adults.
Grand Masters Bay Room
A corner room with a wall of windows, the bed set right against the glass, a powder room and panoramic Gangnam views; a king-size bed with a sofa bed, or two queen-size beds. Sleeps up to three adults.
Masters Jr. Suite
A junior suite with the signature king-size bed, a proper work desk, a powder room and panoramic city views. Sleeps up to three adults.
Masters Suite
An upper-floor suite with a private bar and two powder rooms, looking down on Gangnam's main business avenue; one king-size or two queen-size beds. Sleeps up to three adults.
Grand Masters Suite
A corner suite with the bedroom set apart from the living room, plus a dining room, bathroom and separate shower room; one king-size or two queen-size beds. Sleeps up to three adults.
Josun Masters Suite
A suite on floors 33–35 with a large living room, dining room, separate bedroom, bathroom, shower room and powder room; one king-size or two queen-size beds. Sleeps up to three adults.
Josun Grand Masters Suite
The hotel's largest suite, on the 35th floor: living room, dining room, master bedroom with a king-size bed, dressing room, master bathroom, home bar and study, with panoramic city views.
