Marrol's Boutique Hotel

About this hotel

General information

Marrol's Boutique Hotel is a five-star boutique address in Bratislava's historic centre, a short walk from the Old Town and the Danube riverfront. With just 51 rooms and three suites it keeps an intimate scale: Art Deco interiors, original wallpaper, leather armchairs and real paintings on the walls, in a house that is entirely non-smoking.

The spirit is that of a private home rather than a grand hotel. In winter guests gather by the fireplace in the lobby, in summer on the garden terrace, and evenings drift towards the book-lined Library Bar. Houdini, the restaurant, is known for original cooking and a wine list of Slovak and international labels, while the small Jasmine SPA is reserved for one party at a time. Two salons, the Library Saloon and the Green Saloon, host meetings and private celebrations, and there is an underground garage beneath the building.

Location

The hotel stands at Tobrucká 4 in Bratislava's historic centre. Main Square is about 650 m away (roughly a seven-minute walk), the Slovak National Theatre 750 m, Michael's Gate 850 m and Bratislava Castle 1.6 km, while the Eurovea riverside quarter and its shops lie 550 m off. Bratislava Airport is around 15 minutes by car, and guests arriving by road can use the hotel's underground garage.

Spa

Jasmine SPA is a private wellness suite booked for a minimum of two hours by a single party of up to six people, so no other guests share it during a session. It has a whirlpool relaxation pool, a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna, a vibration platform and a garden terrace with loungers; towels, sheets, bathrobes, toiletries and a hairdryer are provided. Sessions are arranged at reception, and the spa is open to non-residents as well.

Sports & leisure

Hotel guests have free use of a fitness room and a PC room, with the private Jasmine SPA for unwinding. The real pleasure here is on foot: the lanes of the Old Town, Main Square and the Old Town Hall, Michael's Gate, St Martin's Cathedral, the cafés along the Danube embankment and Bratislava Castle above the river, with performances and opera at the Slovak National Theatre in the evening. For business meetings and family occasions the hotel offers the retro-styled Library Saloon for up to 40 guests and the Green Saloon for 12, with a round table and a sofa corner overlooking a garden terrace.

Restaurants & bars

Houdini serves Slovak, Central European and international cooking: a generous buffet breakfast in the morning, a lunch menu at midday, and à la carte dishes and a tasting menu in the evening, paired with a wine list of Slovak and foreign bottles; the 40-seat room can also be reserved for private dinners. The dimly lit Library Bar, with leather armchairs and shelves of books, is open from morning until late, pouring fine whisky and mixed drinks alongside a simple bar menu and soft music. Room service runs around the clock, and breakfast can be served in the room.

Pets

Pets are not accepted at the hotel.
