About this hotel
General information
Mandarin Oriental, Singapore rises above Marina Bay with 510 rooms and suites arranged around its signature fan-shaped atrium, a soaring, light-filled space hung with crystal chandeliers. The interiors take their cues from the island’s nature, cultural heritage and building traditions, with local patterns, batik, garden-city motifs and Peranakan details. Each category has its own palette: cool blues in the bay-facing rooms, warm sunrise tones where the windows look out to sea and lush botanical prints on the city side.
On the 21st floor, the HAUS 65 club lounge, with its library and wine room, serves Champagne breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails, and its M.O. Curators help guests explore the city. Its restaurants and bars range from Cantonese and Japanese cooking to Italian and an American steakhouse, and there is a six-room spa and a 25-metre pool on the fifth floor overlooking the bay. Families are well served by themed suites, a children’s pool and an outdoor playground.
Location
The hotel sits at the heart of Marina Bay, opposite Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, with easy access to the Central Business District. Marina Square, Suntec City and Millenia Walk are within walking distance, and the Singapore Flyer, the ArtScience Museum and Merlion Park are minutes away. Orchard Road’s shops are close by, and Changi Airport is about a 20-minute drive.
Spa
The Spa blends age-old Asian healing traditions with modern techniques. It has six treatment rooms, including two couples’ suites, a private relaxation lounge, heat and water facilities and the Mandarin Suite with its own steam room and jetted bath. Signature rituals draw on Traditional Chinese Medicine, while two treatments are devoted to Singapore: a Malay urut massage with herbal compresses and jamu oil followed by a traditional abdominal wrap, and a massage with jade stones. Facials use Biologique Recherche and Swiss Perfection, and the nail salon works with Margaret Dabbs London. The menu also includes pregnancy treatments, Reiki, singing bowl therapy, lymphatic drainage and the three-day Inner Strength and Outer Strength programmes.
Sports & leisure
The Technogym-equipped fitness centre is open around the clock, with personal training on request. On the fifth-floor Wellness Terrace, with its sweeping city views, in-house guests can join complimentary daily sessions such as yoga and Pilates, and the 25-metre outdoor pool and deck are alongside. The concierge arranges the Cycle for More bike tour, the Heritage River Cruise and Family Fun HIIT sessions.
For children
Children can join the MO Junior Chef Masterclass, Yoga for Kids, Nail Art for Kids and Family Fun HIIT sessions with their parents. Next to embu there is an explorer-themed outdoor playground with a slide, seesaw and play structures, and the restaurant itself has a jungle-themed kids’ buffet corner. A children’s pool with bubble jets sits beside the main pool, and the restaurants offer children’s menus.
