Six Senses Zil Pasyon

About this hotel

General information

Six Senses Zil Pasyon is the only resort on Félicité Island, covering less than a third of it within a protected national park. Granite boulders, coral-fringed beaches and dense tropical growth set the scene: the villas are tucked into the vegetation, designed to all but disappear into the landscape, and most look out over the ocean to the neighbouring islands.

There are 30 one- and two-bedroom villas and three residences of three and four bedrooms, each with its own pool, and every guest has a personal host to handle requests. The island is being restored with endemic and endangered plants so that birds and other wildlife can return; the resort grows produce in its organic garden, bottles its own water and has a spa of five treatment villas, a library and a boutique.

Location

The resort occupies the north shore of Félicité, close to La Digue and facing Praslin, La Digue, Curieuse and smaller islands. It is reached by boat from Praslin or La Digue, or by helicopter from Seychelles International Airport on Mahé — a flight of about 20 minutes (roughly 55 km) to the resort’s own jetty helipad, operating in daylight only.

Spa

Six Senses Spa has five double treatment villas — Rock, Cave, Ocean, Nature and Floating — each themed on the island’s natural world, plus a relaxation lounge with a nail bar, a sauna and steam room, a raised pool with a sundeck and a yoga and meditation pavilion. The menu covers holistic, local and African-inspired treatments using Terres d’Afrique products, among them the Ocean Journey, combining aromatherapy, acupressure and reflexology with hot and cold crystal-ball massage, and the Ubuntu ritual for couples; personalised programmes can be built around a wellness screening.

Sports & leisure

The resort’s experiences team runs activities on the island and trips to the islands nearby, including:

  • snorkelling over a reef visited by turtles, diving, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding;
  • a jungle hike up to Top Hill, the island’s highest point, past coco de mer palms;
  • sunset cruises, half- or full-day island hopping and snorkelling trips to the marine protected area around Coco Island;
  • turtle-hatching watches with the turtle team, organic garden tours and Creole lessons;
  • open-air cinema, a pétanque court, yoga classes and a modern gym.
For children

Trouloulou, the kids’ club in its own villa, welcomes children from four years old. Its Grow with Six Senses programme mixes play with nature: treasure hunts, beach pétanque and coconut bowling, sandcastle building, coconut painting, mocktail making, Creole language and dance classes, guided snorkelling, tree planting, organic garden sessions, films and stargazing. Babysitting can be booked a day ahead.

Restaurants & bars

There are six venues, and in-villa dining runs around the clock:

  • Island Cafe — international cooking with European, Asian and African influences: breakfast, then drinks and light dishes through the day in an open lounge looking out to sea;
  • Chef’s Kitchen — a cookery studio with weekly classes in local cuisine;
  • Ocean Lounge — beside the water, with grilled fish and ingredients from the organic garden and local farmers; lunch daily and themed dinners;
  • KRI — Japanese omakase with a Seychellois touch;
  • Wine Vault — private dinners for two to eight guests in the wine cellar and sommelier-led tastings;
  • Koko Bar — an overwater bar by the pool serving classic and bespoke cocktails.
Swimming

At the heart of the resort is a long oceanfront pool whose stone edge meets the breaking waves, with drinks and light snacks served poolside. The island has three white-sand beaches, and every villa has its own pool.
